  • isn't that making it harder for yourself?

I'm not sure how you can now do the switch when you said online

i know in branch that staff can go back in and select switcher , but not sure withon-line applications

LOL yes I suppose it is :o

I should imagine that they will ask me to sign something to set up the account so I will ask them then if I can use the switching service if they say no then I will have to accept I have made a mistake but if they want your buisness then really they should accept that you have changed your mind and now want to switch shouldn't they

Thank You so much for taking the time to reply to me regularsaver1 :D
  • Its just about how it can be done

visit a branch with the roll number and see if they can go back into the application , and then do the switching forms at the same time
  • You will not be eligible for the £100 - but you can redesignate your account to the High Interest account. Takes 5 mins in branch

    thanks will try it

This looks like a good thing to do - the T&Cs say you have to use their switching service to move DDs etc. If I give them my dormant Barclays account, would I still qualify (as it has not DDs or anything - only openned it for the free ££)?

I suspect they will credit score you when you apply, so they will be able to see how many accounts you already have and which current accounts are 'current'.

Just a thought, but if I can get 6.1% interest on my current account, why would I bother with a savings account like ICICI?
  • I used to have Halifax current account but I closed it about 4 months ago. I no longer have any halifax products. Does anyone know if I will be eligible for this offer? Thanks

The 6.17% AER is up to £2500, and you must have £1000 crediting the account each month

so some people may go over when this credit reached the account

Yes - if you switch from elsewhere and are happy for a credit score to be done
  • Thanks regularsaver1, I'll apply then. Seems pretty good to me
