It was actually a mum with a newborn (8 weeks old) who gave me the VALUE wipes as I couldnt locate mine. Huggies are thick and are a pain to get out of the packet one at a time if you only have one hand.
Anyway back on topic, The code doesnt work.
and this is based on?
As stated (IMO - in my opinion)
AND originally based on my own experiences with raising kids!
The cheaper ones did give and irritate nappy rashes, IMO due to the texture.
I dont like them. would not use them again.
Also ive never had a problem with huggies pure wipes, but maybe theres a technique to it i guess
i love this board everyone is an expect and all kids are the same.0 -
Still debating whether to go for this. The code will work on wipes but not nappies as posted above. Looking through my order history, I got 6 boxes of 9 * 56 wipes for £25.97 or 0.9p per wipe back in July. This glitch would make it 1.1p per wipe. Doesn't sound like much of a difference but every little helps eh?
Long story short: July was roughly £26, January for double the amount would cost £68.
i just did exactly the same and i am now debating, its quite a big differenceMum to 13year old triplets, just trying to save the pennies.

I've just checked upstairs and though I thought my supply was gone, I still have 4 boxes of 9 * 56 wipes so a good 3+ months supply. I think I'll hold off any see if any more glitches come about as where Mothercare is concerned, there's a very good chance!0 -
i still have wipes from the last glitch and i'll be potty training soon so don't need any.
I use value wipes, the person above who said nappy rash is caused by pee would be right one of my twins has horrible reactions to his own pee, when i used reusable nappies his skin got really inflamed, however he also had this issue in huggies nappies but not in value nappies so it's swings and roundabouts, his twin brother never had any issue
my youngest has really really bad exzema so much so that his skin would weep he's needed antibitics and fungal creams, yet he has no issue with value wipes, i find value wipes dry tho and they don't feel great in my hand almost gritty, it might be because i store them for awhile because i buy them in mrs's 1/2 price baby event.
so basicially you could all be right every child is different just buy what works for you and your child
oh and your not suppose to make bottles up in advance now but we used to fill the bottles with water and leave that to cool, and we had those wee tt milk pots we used to fill them up with however many scoops they were having at the time in the mornings so we had 12 of them filled, then when we needed a bottle we'd tip it in give it a good shake and off we'd go, with twins we'd do anything to save a few seconds when they were hungry- you think one screaming babys bad try 2 :rotfl:DEC GC £463.67/£450

I found the value wipes very wet and a bit on the small side especially when it comes to cleaning number twos.
The bottle thing annoyed me. With DS1 I was able to have the bottles pre-prepared with water then add the powder when it was heated but with DS2 it all had to be done from scratch. Nothing worse than a screaming baby (except maybe twins or more!!) at ungodly o'clock in the morning, waiting for the kettle to boil then waiting for the bottle to cool. No doubt in a couple of year the advice will have changed again. I was told that to guarantee there was no e-coli the water had to be at least 70C so safer to start with water at 100C and let it cool than to start with water at 3C and heat it up.0 -

I agree with you on this as the cheaper wipes tend to be perfumed/harsher ingredients especially for a newborn and can cause rashes. My son suffers from eczema and I can only use pampers sensitive, huggies or simple baby. Coincidentally, Simple baby wipes are always on offer at my local home bargains, 99p a pack.
