You might wanna hang fire on the wipes. I stocked up on pampers and huggies pure but had a few johnsons.quickly found out my lil guy had a skin reaction with johnsons. Weird cos so many people swear by them but glad i didnt get too many. On the other hand anything i didnt need i knew enough other new mums to swap stuff with. Very mse!
agreee !! if u do buy wipes stick to sensetives least theres less chemical in them bottles n i have to say i do disagree with people slating baby bins i think myn are great saves repeatedly going outside to dispose of nappies through the day i change mine daily no smells happy me0 -
I stick to huggies, i personally would not use tesco value they have a horrible texture and likely to give nappy rash on new borns (IMO)
Huggies are £1 in mr Ts from £2.490 -
Hi all, I'm expecting my first baby next year...thinking of taking advantage of this offer but no idea what would be the best things to get! I don't want to end up buying things that won't be used or a waste of money. Is there anything that people would advise I stock up on? I was thinking nappies but I have no idea on what size to get! What about the nappy bins or bottle warmer?
thanks
Clairey
With regards to nappies, when ive stocked up and had packs of unopened nappies that are to small i have taken them back to the store (told them i bought the wrong size) and just exchanged them, never had any problems

i bought the avent digital bottle warmer for my son 4 years ago and use it all the time for my 8 week old daughter, i love it, i also made the bottles up with just water and added the milk when warm. i also put all the bits on a tray with sides and put it on my bedside table, so no getting up in the middle of the night to make up bottles.
nappy bin, i wouldnt bother with, nappy bags tesco value 300 for 27p!:jlet he without sin cast the first stone0 -
Im trying to order now with 3 lots of nappies and 3 lots of wipes. Its come to just over £100 but the offer of 3 for 2 hasnt come off and im at payment options and still not been able to enter in the discount code, i dont want to put my payment details in in case it charges me full price. Where do i enter in discount code please?0

Unfortunately with Mothercare you have to enter your payment details BEFORE the page where you enter your code. However, even then you don't have to proceed with the purchase if you are not happy with the price.0

And this is based on........?

Its nappies and the pee pee and poop that cause nappy rash, not wipes, however if a baby has nappy rash ANY wipe can irritate it.
It was actually a mum with a newborn (8 weeks old) who gave me the VALUE wipes as I couldnt locate mine. Huggies are thick and are a pain to get out of the packet one at a time if you only have one hand.
Anyway back on topic, The code doesnt work.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
I also find that with the huggies wipes, you get about 20 out at a time!!princesswoo wrote: »Its nappies and the pee pee and poop that cause nappy rash, not wipes, however if a baby has nappy rash ANY wipe can irritate it.

Value wipes are excellent!!My daughters are my world0 -
I use Tesco value wipes to wipe off the grease on kitchen counter, cleanin etc. I find them too "soapy" and "perfumey" to use on baby delicate skin.
I love pampers sensitive , for me and my little one, is the best.
Whatever wipes I use I always have a final wipe using a piece of clean damp (with hot tap water) cloth to wipe off any residue from the wipes
This is a trick l learn from me mum. Also I always clean my baby tongue with damp cloth after feeding to wipes off any nasty milk residue, up till he go solid
My 3 year old never have any nappy rash in my care x0 -
