The display gradually lost bits of the LCD over a few weeks eventually making it unreadable.

    Honeywell CM927 display fault again!

Whilst the better Half is away on a girlie weekend, I 'borrowed' her hair dryer and fixed the display again...
Before and after using the hairdryer and 10 minutes time...

Honeywell CMS927B. re Readout disappearing in parts.
Strip the unit and remove the circuit board (just a few plastic clips, no screws). Remove the LCD assembly from the circuit board (more plastic clips and an eight pin push connection). Removed the LCD unit from the clear plastic housing (more plastic clips). Finally heat up the plastic ribbon where it is stuck to the circuit board (hair dryer will do trick) and then firmly press it onto the circuit board... probably worth doing this several times; in effect you are remating the ribbon to the circuit board by softening the adhesive. Put it all back together and it should be working again.

Many thanks. This saved me £120 . Very Grateful!!!

Blimey! Had my doubts that this would work but it really does!

My CM927 is eight years old and the LCD started to fail several years ago. It got to the stage where only around 20% of the display was readable. It still worked fine but reprogramming it became impossible.

Followed these instructions and ten minutes later, after the first attempt, I've got everything bar two non-essential LCD elements back.

    Huge thanks to going_off_grid!

Hello. I have a Greenstar 28i Junior MK lll Condensing Boiler, installed about 8yrs ago, with Receiver HC60 NG, mechanical Thermostat HCW80 and 7day Programmer ST9100C wired. The Receiver is clicking On/Off continually over many months (I’ve tried all binding sequences) so I think I need an upgrade. I’ve been looking at the CM927 and hoping you would be able to advise me if this system and configuration would be suitable? And if there is a compatible product for less money? I am a pensioner and money is a major factor for me. A simple instillation would also be good. I would be so, so grateful for any practical advice. Many thanks. PS. I noticed a lot of negative reviews on CM927. I’m new to this site!
