I would definitely recommend Viber. Been using it for a while as my family is in America. We both have iphone's and it works fine.
When they call, it even notifies you whilst you're not in the app. Can't say how much it drains your battery when its running in the background. Not noticed much difference though.'Never forget that only dead fish swim with the stream.'
