Supposed to be planning for tomorrow. So....

    I have cleaned the cloakroom
knitted part of DD's jumper (complicated lace yoke, so difficult to do)
caught up with all emails, Twitter, forum etc
    made turkey soup
    had coffee

    Sigh.

Now I really have to get on with the planning!

(I'm going to move the bathroom/kids' rooms to Thursday/Friday, and finish thte hall, stairs and living room today)

Productive procrastination, I'm an expert at this!

OMG, hope you are all ok x

Weather seems to have passed over here, the sky is predominately blue at the back now.

I am still proof reading and need to do DS3's lunch now. The floors will get mopped today even if it is at 11:59pm

Just a quick update. DH has put the fire out. So happy the smoke alarms work.

It is the pipe and chimney that the oil boiler uses. It has thrown out loads of oily tarry soot all over my kitchen :( But at least it was put out easily. I wanted DH to go to work today but he said he didn't feel like it . I am so pleased he was here.

DK Thanks, we have pans and plastic bottles full of water in case the other side goes up too. The chimney breast is still very hot. We have the wood burner on the other side. DH says we probably need a new chimney liner.... more money....

    Afternoon all,

    Hope you're ok Pooh.

Ds2 has had a rash on his face for a few days and when he got up this morning it was bright red and had spread behind his ears and neck. I gave him an antihistamine and managed to get a Dr's appointment. By the time we got there there was just a small pink patch instead of the massive red angry patch and i felt a bit silly. She did give him some cream though so that made me feel a bit better.

When i opened my blinds this morning i noticed one of my recycling bags was open and there was stuff all over the green. I had to cover the rabbits up again and the garden is like a bog at the moment so i put my wellies on, covered the rabbits, collected all my recycling and then had to cover the rabbits again because it had blown off.

I've realised to be able to completely gut Ds2's room i'm going to need the toy cupboard tidy so i can fit more in. So we're going to take everything out of the toy cupboard, decide whether to keep, chuck, sell or donate it all. Then once i've done the same in his bedroom i can swap the toys around. He hasn't played with anything from the cupboard since we moved in so he'll have lots to play with. I may as well do the same to the pile of toys in the living room too while i'm at it. Lots to do so i'd better get moving.

  • PoohBear - Sorry about the fire. I hope everything cleans up okay for you and you've no more sparks.

After all my work getting car sorted for MOT today, it didn't start! First time it's failed me in 10 years (well except the time I took it off the road and took us a few goes to get the battery charged). I'm reckoning it's the spark plugs. Oh well, at least it didn't fail me out on the road and I got a bus to work easily enough!

I'm working and OH is at home feeling poorly! But dinner's made (left overs from yesterday), kitchen is (was when I left it!) clean so I should have a clean slate tonight!
