I know you're supposed to make all posts during the week flying related, but I'm stuffed full of a cold/cough and am struggling to drink a mug of tea at the moment, let alone a cleaning cloth - so hoping you'll excuse my lack of flying updates, as I just wanted to quickly welcome all the Newbies - haven't read back properly, but can see lots of new names.

I've only been around just a little under a year, and my advice would be to take it steadily, be proud of every achievement every day. Forget what you didn't do - it will come around again - and we all need time with our loved ones and for ourselves. After a year, I don't have the perfect house, but I do know I'm in better shape than I was this time last year - and I spent a long time getting into the mess originally, so I accept that some of the little achievements are still in place, so by this time next year hopefully I'll be reporting something better.

Very windy last night, so I got up at a sensible time instead of lounging around in bed  and as a result have got the bathroom cleaned, had breakfast without creating chaos and set the DW off. Just about to have a shower, and then settle down to do some work, starting with admin - expenses ready for Thursday (when I'm in the office); sorting out access to the payroll system as I want to print my payslips and forgot my password :o; checking how much holiday I've carried over and book time off asap; working out summer holiday dates and agreeing them with the colleague I share primary coverage with.

Then I can get on with proper work. I think I need to adjust my diary so I have admin time booked separately from other time. I wish I could be as organised as my diary makes me look! I hope everyone else gets off to a good start with work this year.

    Morning all...

Sort-of newbie here, I used to follow the thread but then it dwindled. However, new year, new start! As of today I am on maternity leave, waiting for Pip to put in an appearance some time in the next few weeks (am due on the 22nd Jan) so thought I'd make the most of the time I have and get back on track with flyladying...

The house is in a reasonable state, it's just full of clutter which drives me crazy so I am going to make a concerted effort to clear some clutter every day, as well as keep things clean.

I will try to keep up with the thread and get to know you all but I remember how fast it moves!

    Happy Tuesday everyone! :D

    Newbie alert
    I've failed!
Did the kitchen etc yesterday but forgot to check the bread situation for pack up lunches. It has green suede on it. Wraps it is then.
I have recently been made redundant (have depression) and the boys are at playschool every pm so I am using this as a focus. Cleared 2 cupboards on NYDay.
    Off to tackle the loo.

Baggy - don't be too hard on yourself - I wouldn't class that as a fail! At least you had wraps in the cupboard. I have been known to drive to school via Subway to get lunches for my two:o

All we can do is try!
