I use the 15p one and add chopped ready to eat apricots. It is also very nice with some lemon zest added. There is only the 2 of us but when I do roast chicken, DS loves a big chunk of cold stuffing along with his chicken leg for a packed lunch or in a sandwich with little leftover bits and cranberry sauce.:D

    Hello all,

I use Paxo stuffing (Never stuffed inside a chicken always cooked seperate)
I've pointed that out specifically because I am aware that it makes an whole new ball game with regards to food safety.

So my question is, a small box of the stuffing is too much for two of us.

Can I freeze the left over mix raw or as stuffing balls cooked and then re-heat the cooked stuffing balls.

    Thanks.

Or go to this thread for stuffing ideas:

  • I have most of a box of apple and herb stuffing lurking at the back of my cupboard (I've hidden it behind the pasta but it's haunting me :p). I tried it but found it overpowering in its appley- ness. I'm wondering how to use it while disguising the flavour.
My first thought was some sort of meatloaf with sausagemeat,
my second thought was that someone here would have a better idea!

    TIA :D

dilute it down with your own breadcrumbs, herbs and onion? pork and apple burgers, meatloaf is a good idea, coating for fish cakes/meat, crumble topping on fish pie, must be a bread recipe that could use it.
Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.

I'd use it mixed with mince, pork or beef for a meatloaf. Or make meat cakes with mince and the stuffing.

We always mix this sorts of things into pork mince for our stuffing.
