Doc you can be quite a thoughtful [STRIKE]cow[/STRIKE] person, can't you? I agree birthdays, Xmas, easter, every other event relies too much on what is spent, then the actual meaning of the event.

is that a compliment?:p:p:p:p or the other way round:cool: anyway this one is one smart cow:D

Btw, Chattmum, if & when you decide to give out your cravendale codes please do not post it here - it needs to be pm so that your codes does not go missing/taken by somebody else.

Morning all having a bit of a depressed day today feel tearful. Just areally crappy day maybe I just need to try get my first cup of tea for today and have a bit of a sob in the corner. Hubby just doesn't realise how his love of last minute can really upset me sometimes. Sorry to vent on here but today is my birthday and the only thing I got from OH and the kids was a card with £20 in It , just really hurts when he could not do anymore than put money in a card espesh as he was hinting all year for an iPad for his birthday. Well sod him at least I got my free bar of choccy from kenco, so someone loves me... Right off to make myself a birthday cake now coz they had the Betty crockers mixes cheap in A today

Oh CM - Happy Birthday! :):) :T:T:T

My DH either never gave me anything or gave me something I really didn't want. So now I tell him way in advance that I don't want a pressie for Xmas or birthday but that he can just pay for me to have my hair repermed or coloured. Think a lot of men just have no idea when it comes to pressies (I'm sure that doesn't include you Jeferey )

    Morning All! :)

Just had the best news ever! DD1 got a C in her first GCSE - Chemistry :j (because she took the foundation paper that was the highest mark she could get).

Very well done DD1 - you will have to take her out for a treat now.

    :hello:Good Morning AH.
You gave me a fright for a minute with the news of the dettol no touch. It is still showing up as £5 in Asda on mysupermarket http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/#/shopping/findproducts.aspx?query=dettol%20no%20touch and on the Asda website http://groceries.asda.com/asda-estore/search/searchcontainer.jsp?trailSize=1&searchString=dettol+no+touch&domainName=Products&headerVersion=v1&_requestid=151273

I cannot find it on MT's shopping list despite doing ctrl f seach.

:bdaycake: Chattmum happy birthday to you. Sorry you feeling so low about things. Maybe it's not just about the card and money and you are not happy about other things and its just easy to blame this atm:A. Have to agree with some of the other posts men not the best at these things, last year not a card or present for my birthday from DH or did he organise the kids to get anything:mad: yes I felt miffed but knew it's nothing to do with how he feels. On other occasions he will make a fuss you just never know.

I am sure jeferey will be along to defend the Male species soon with all this slating:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
