Or was it from DTD thread?
I still have nearly 2 years fixed rate to go before I can look for another mortgage lender with better rate. Mine was fixed for 5 years @ 6%:eek: that time we did not know that Bank of England was going to reduce the rate so low after 2 years:eek:. I still have 9 years to go before I am officially release out of the Banking prison:DRIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -

Still a great result, mine was £230 - £50 c/b so that makes £282 for the 2 or £141/car.Dr.Who-Who wrote: »Can't beat you on that Jeff. I'll be getting mine this Friday to start Sunday Multicar quote from Aviva 2 cars for £383 less cashback £20 = £363 divided 2 approx £181 per car.
My car is much higher insurance group, bigger engine, etc.
Really can't see me getting it this cheap this year - we can try!
The other thing I've done recently is pay for Phone Line Rental with Plusnet up front for 12 months which made it £9.49/month.
I'm also stoozing a Barclaycard on 0% by buying everything on it and putting money in savings account. Made quite a lot of interest doing this over the years. I set up a direct debit to make sure there are no charges. Only worth doing if you can control your finances and aren't in debt. I don't do balance transfers cos of the fees involved. If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat

Morrisons have got 6p of a litre voucher when you spend £40 or more in store... wombles.....
Ive done this and they give you a token too that you have to hand in with the receipt when you get your petrol, how do you get round that?
Morrisons are also doing a 'get your shopping for free' this month, (similar to the one late last year where they have a daily draw and theres a barcode number on each receipt) So thats worth wombling for too (you lot are on the ball, so this is probably old news for you!)

ahhhh unless you have some friendly SAs who will give you a few extra tokens, don't think there is a way round it. They must read mse :rotfl:

Starting off small I used my pilgrims choice cheese voucher at T on the 1/2 price 50% less fat cheddar yesterday and felt very pleased. Have also used the Kingsmill at Iceland where they are doing 2 loaves for £1.70 then take off the 2 coupons. Have also remortgaged to save £156.15pcm and asked utility insurer yesterday if they could reduce my monthy fee and they gave 15% off for the year!
Morning All!
Sometimes junk mail can be good! Had to renew my home insurance today. Tried several comparison sites and cashback options then found a leaflet from NatWest that I had stuffed in a drawer saying they would beat my renewal quote by £25. Rang them, Their quote was nearly double my renewal  but they took £25 off my renewal amount AND let me pay in interest free monthly instalments. Worked out just £5 more than the best cashback option but with no huge payment now and no wondering/waiting months for the cashback. Very chuffed :j:j0 -

Either maths is not your strong point or I am reading it wrong:rotfl::rotfl:. I work it out that your quote was £230 less £50 = £180 & not £282:D
Anyway, what's your engine size? Car I mean:p
Mine is 1.8 Auto zafira & chevrolet 1.0 ( bought for my DD now its belong to OH) DD is not in my renewal insurance as she is @ Uni & she does not need car, will only insure her when she come back for summer holiday;).
Its so much.............cheaper not putting DD name's as the 2nd driver.
Ah ... Barclays I used to be Barclays customer for many years then when I found out that they sold the bank to the "Arab" me closed me accounts:rotfl: now I am with natwest.:p I get to speak to local ppl & not india call center:pRIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0
