  • Quick question re wombling, I went to my local A last night and in my trolley there was a reciept, when i've checked this it would give me £2.00 off but does it matter that the original reciept was paid for on a card? Never done this before...

this is a personal choice secretshopper. I tend to go for receipts that are paid in cash. We did hear of an Mser who picked up a receipt that had been paid for by a stolen credit card. And the police contacted them because they thought they were using it. But that was once, and we haven't heard it again.

Morning everyone, just popping in so I don't turn into a lurker and to share my first efforts at getting back into money saving. Starting off small I used my pilgrims choice cheese voucher at T on the 1/2 price 50% less fat cheddar yesterday and felt very pleased. Have also used the Kingsmill at Iceland where they are doing 2 loaves for £1.70 then take off the 2 coupons. Have also remortgaged to save £156.15pcm and asked utility insurer yesterday if they could reduce my monthy fee and they gave 15% off for the year!

Morning Mrs M, Aesop, SS75 and everyone else :D.
Sounds like you've made a great start Mrs M - I'm hoping to get OH's car insurance for less than last year's record £102 after cashback - could be tricky!
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

Can't beat you on that Jeff. I'll be getting mine this Friday to start Sunday Multicar quote from Aviva 2 cars for £383 less cashback £20 = £363 divided 2 approx £181 per car.

Aviva is doing 15weeks free insurance so in other words it was supposed to be £400+ but they discounted it to £383:cool:

Aesop & I have different idea:D for me it will be finder's keeper. We only use it to print APG so there is nothing wrong with it. Would you throw/ ignore £2 coins on the carpark if you find it?
