Report so far is it failed (no surprise there, bound to be something to do) and looking at around £200 to fix
.
New exhaust, one tyre is bulging so has to be replaced, hazard lights don't work (never used the things!) and something is up with the brakes but until they take them apart can't tell exactly what needs doing, probably at least new pads.
Ah well, could be worse, we've got a friend doing it and labour will be cheap and he knows how to get parts at or very near to cost so won't be paying out more than necessary.
On the bright side it's still a lot cheaper than a new car!
Funny enough he was saying yesterday that he'd had the police round once about a car he'd passed on MOT saying all the tyres were bald - turned out the guy had swapped the tyres over from a mates car for the test then put his own back on after. Rather risk his life than pay for some new ones :heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Kira - you feeling any better ? X
Mozzy - how's u and Charlie ? Q for you:D both south Africans I've known both wore socks and complained bitterly of being cold in the summer, do you ?!! I know you are a scouse African so you might be tougher !
Crabapple - good luck with the car, edit just seen youve posted sorry !!!we have a ahem vintage model that hubbies had from new ! Bil does the work on it hence we keep it going, cars are so expensive these days !
Brain malfunction...
This morning was fun Dylan Had a hedgehog in his gob again, I chased him round the garden and promptly stood in dog s:mad::mad:t, I've thrown my shoes in the bin as they are canvas . Then I baracaded the gate and he promptly gets through it again  cue barking and me retrieving said mutly and promptly producing cairn terror casserole for tea
Scott has played quite a bit but has been very grizzly, teeth maybe and tired. Longest bout of crying for ages so he has had only the second application of bonjela he has ever had! He screamed everytime tried to put him on pillow but he is now half on pillow half on me, so I am now immobile for a minute as he is out finally !! Now do I move him ?!!
On the upside we have booked a holiday for November  as we did not book anything previously because we did not know how things would go, it will be us and family but it's a loooong trek in the car so might do a stop over. (Dylan is going too if he resurrects himself after being eaten lol)0 -

Oh boo crapapple, at least it shouldnt cost you loads and lucky you have a friend to help you. What a bad story about those tyres!! OH told me a tale one night, someone popped into the garage as they had been pulled over by the Police for having illegal tyres, he wanted my OH to verify that the tyres on the car were legal and the Police were wrong - I think he wanted to appeal his conviction, OH had a look and said that the tyres on the car were fine and road legal, when he looked at the documentation the Police had given him it was for a diff set of tyres!! The driver had only swopped them over for new ones in an attempt to dodge his fine/points...silly sod. OH told him to piddle off.
Hey Ro, a HEDGEHOG!?!? !!!!!!?! and sorry but lol at your garden chase which ended in shoe death :rotfl:Hope little Scott is ok when he wakes.
Aiden is being a monkey this afternoon, think he needed a longer nap. He is just getting bored with everything I give him, he is in his next ring atm but is grunting and building up to a whinge I think. His bounce a bout comes tomorow, hopefully it keeps him entertained as my pile of ironing is not going down!!Little Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Hello all
Sorry to hear about your car crabapple, good you've got a friend who can fix it though. I was quoted £1000 to fix mine recently, got a second opinion at a smaller non dealership garage and it was £120!
Lol at Dylan Ro, I used to have a westie which I think are similar to cairns and he was always upto no good too.
We've been at the docs this morning forms bloodtest to check iron levels, fingers crossed its back up after the birth so they don't make me take iron pills again. Back there on friday for George's first jabsnot lookingforwardto that.
I'm feeling guilty now, got a couple of custard tarts as a treat after being stabbed with a needle earlier and I've eaten both of them already. Greedy Katie!Newborn thread member

No, I still get teased that during the evening sitting outside in Summer, as each hour passes, I put on another layer!!! haha. Durban Winter is basically the same weather if not nicer than we having now in our Summer. The coldest it gets is around 12-13dg in the evenings. During the day, about 17dg.
BTW - I loved Party of Five hahaDFD February 2012
