I know precisely how you feel. For the first couple of months, feeding was like a military operation. I'd have to be sitting just so, with two muslins positioned like this, with my feeding cushion round my waist like that, then I'd have to lie Freddie just here and so on. Even then it still looked like I was murdering rather than feeding him. It was mental!

Once they're bigger and you can hold them without the cushion it's soooo much easier. Freddie finds his own way onto the boob now. But then I guess he will be 16 next week :D

THis made me LOL! I'd forgotten feeling like that :D I used to use 5 cushions to feed reu with until I got my feeding pillow. Now he unzips my jacket and tugs my top down

Too cute! Here's a similar one of Idiot Boy. Similar in that it's a boy and a piece of fruit. Unfortunately Freddie's yet to realise he's supposed to eat it.

He's always happy. He's an idiot. Plus mum's got great tits so who needs apple!

Sammie eeeek at the escaping poo!!

Nutella I'm glad nursery was better, and that she enjoyed her weetabix ;)

I viewed my first nursery today, and I have to say....I was very impressed. Much better than I thought it would be, I don't really know why I felt so negative about it beforehand - obviously it's going to be a nice place! Anyway, im going to look round some more first but if they are as good as today's seemed then it'll be hard to choose. Makes me sad to think about leaving my baby though, nutella Monday must feel very close for you :(
  • Thanks turtlemoose, I did feel pretty smug.

I did a massive expedition today in the snow to try to go to a mummies group, walked 45 mins to get there and it was canceled due to weather! Still though, it proved to me that I picked the right pram, we ploughed through the snow and ice no problem which was good. So in total I trekked for an hour and a half, that'll be my exercise for the week then *spends rest of week on couch eating cake*

Got a parcel today with a beautiful hand-made purple cardi for A that I bought off one of the many FB groups I have discovered for second-hand baby clothes, it's fab! We are also experimenting with cloth nappies after getting a starter pack off an evangelical friend - so far they are good, very pretty and comfy. However, she hasn't pooed in one yet nor worn one overnight so we'll see how both those things go...

Oh my god ladies I had to come and share this......reuben slept from 7:30 until 6:30!!! Then had a feed and is still asleep now! I woke up at 4am in a panic and had to check he was still there/still breathing! Then struggled to nod off with a rock hard boob!
  • Morning all!

Great news about your pram Miss Bunbury - I ventured out for the first time yesterday over snowy and icy pavements, it was a bit bumpy but the pram managed it so I too was pleased!

Turtle - excellent news on the sleep very pleased for you! Love that you woke up, panicked and checked on him! I did that once one of the first times miss moneypenny (!) went to sleep and both me and OH were asleep, I woke up, panicked, woke OH up to find out where the baby was and she was snoring in her basket while we were now both wide awake! :rotfl:

We did well with sleeping, she seemed to change her feed times and got fed at 9pm then a bath then a feed at 11pm, asleep by 12, up at 4, went down at 5 and woke at 8 so in 8 hours I got 7 hours sleep - unheard of! Will have to try those evening times again as it meant I was only awake once in the night.

Breastfeeding person coming to help today, think I'm hoping for a miracle really, just hope they are helpful with latch and positioning and not just talking of the virtues of breastfeeding (like they did with a friend). Fingers crossed it will help.

Have a good day everyone :)

It's nice to discover your pram's one of the few that handles well in the snow - my double (really ought to get round to putting the second seat on so the mechanism on that can loosen up a bit actually) was really good in the height of our snow recently (huuuuuge wheels help).

Actually had a battle waking her ladyship up this morning (needed the car so we had to be up and out asap) - I put the light on - she opened one eye and went back to sleep, I went up to her - she plonked bunny on her head in protest... went on for about 5 minutes!

Erin's decided to have a nap sideways now - legs hanging OUT of the cot through the cot bars, using the teddies piled up along the side of the cot as a pillow with her hands behind her head. If I move her she'll wake up - trying to let her get a few mins shuteye before I need to wake her up to go down to the doctors!

And Erin is a sneaky creature - been trying desperately to get her to refine rolling back to front (she could do it physically - but arms kept getting in the way) with absolutely no luck for months... left her on the mat on her back for 5 mins while I unloaded the dishwasher (sticking my head around the corner every few seconds) - come back and she's on her front, propped up on her elbows playing happily and giggling with a "drat rumbled" look on her face!
