Nice to hear from you! There is nothing wrong with taking a break from the ops for a while. As you say, you can refocus in the new year and you are only young once!
All the best,
SquirrelPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Oh MW you sound happy, well done OH. I am joining you on restarting in earnest in January with a five year programme to lose 2 mortgages. Very big changes afoot on the early retirement plan, I agreed to do an extra six months so do need to kick on and work out if I should get a 3rd rental flat whilst I still have a decent income. I hate being a land lady but you cant knock the income stream.0

Hello all, lovely to hear from you too - thanks for popping by
.
SSS - definitely, I needed this break whilst I got my head around things. Sometimes I feel like everything is getting on top of me - house, work, kids - and then the money ends up being another stress. Taking the time out and doing some work on attitudes has really helped me.
Toots - am definitely excited about an earnest 2014, I think our mortgage amounts to lose will be about the same too. Highly exciting thought of a third rental - are you in the house FT now? We are thinking about some rentals as part of our retirement 'portfolio' but am keen to see the back of this one and secure the welsh cottage before progress any further with that... How far are you from retirement now?Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89
