Washing machine isnt get rid of all water

It doesn't seem to matter what cycle we put the washing machine on, for the last week when the program has ended the clothes are still very wet.

We are having to take them out of the machine and wring them out over the bath before hanging out to dry.

There is no water left in the drum, so it is draining, and the clothes are not sodden wet - but would drip if we placed them straight onto a radiator.

Any ideas please on what to check?

Sorry Im no expert but it sounds like its not spinning properly. Have you tried to just run the spin program after a normal program has finished? Does it still sound like its spinning hard and fast enough? Either way Id try to run a spin first to see if it is acutally doing one. Im sure others will come on to help you better though.

I nearly bought a new machine on Christmas Eve for this very reason. Have you checked the filter at the bottom of the machine? Usually behind a square flap.

My Mum suggested it and ours had never been an issue before but with washing the dog blankets, it had filled up with fur and bits of woodchip. The machine is back working properly now but I nearly chucked it. It wasn't emptying or finishing cycles and not spinning properly.

I too would suggest the filters/pipes. Clean the filters, take the outlet/waste pipes off and see if they are blocked at all (and the pipes/u-bend thing the waste pipe run into) then connect it back up and run the machine at a hot wash with bi-carb/white vinegar solution or a shop bought washing machine cleaner afterwards.

Yes it seems to be spinning normally, the first few times we kept doing 'additional' spins and although it seemed to be doing the normal spin, the clothes were still wet.

Will try this now, we have two Jack Russells so everything washed normally has dog hair on it some where! Thanks for the suggestion.

At least the sales are on, should this one be on its way out, but would ,ime to try and fix it if possible.

Clean the filter, then check for kinks/blockages in the drain hose.

After you have cleaned the filter, it might be worth running an empty 90° cycle with some bi-carb/vinegar or soda crystals in the drum to clear out any gunk.

Sorry OP for hijacking,I logged in to ask for advice/help re- washing machine as well and saw yours.
Mine is not washing,it just starts and takes washing powder and fills with just little water and then nothing, just the noise it makes when it's suppose to start washing. It used to do the same as OP's one and I'd empty the filter which is at the back and tricky to get to. What it is now doing is new. Is it dead?

Thank you in advance for reading and advices.

Any lights flashing or error codes?

Does the drum spin at all?

First thing to check (as mentioned in a couple of above posts) is the filter, this can be jammed with something as minor as a bra wire, which can stop the pump working. Normally found behind a flap at the bottom, but drain the small pipe in there beforehand as there will be a lot of water backed up in there. This is how to do it on a bosch

No error codes. It is counting down as usual as if it is doing a normal wash.

Does the drum spin at all?

    Nothing,no spin at all.
