I'm a little late to this as usual!

I was BAAAAAD over Christmas and treated myself to too much nice stuff (especially in the Boots 50% sale and BS sales) I was trying to avoid the BOOTS 75% sale but succumbed yesterday at approximately midday and rushed off to my local store to check it out. I only spent £16 yesterday and got some nice gifts for my families birthdays in April, but now I am feeling really guilty about it, and I just have a problem with space now, its getting totally ridiculous and I admit I have a problem. Whenever I'm feeling down I treat myself, which gives me a buzz for a short while but then i get cross with myself. Imagine having to try and explain a toiletries obsession to a psychologist!! I'm not getting into debt to buy them but it is totally irrational and I could be saving the money.

I have absolutely come to the conclusion that toiletries is my weak spot; I dont drink or smoke but the buzz I get from buying some nice product (especially at a "bargain" price!) is just the same for me as gambling or smoking. How bad is that?? I suppose at least they are useful...if you ever get around to using them up!

Anyhow, now that the sales are over I am determined not to buy ANYTHING for the rest of the year. The only thing I will allow myself is toothpaste, as I have enough deodorant to last until 2013 and soaps, shower gels, shampoos to last way beyond that!

I really identify with all you say. Best of luck to you too:)

Asset so sorry you're having a rough time. Whilst on the face of it those saying you should take it further are right, that's easier said than done in your situation I think. Being bullied at work is awful especially when the company know what is happening but will do nothing to stop it...I can entirely understand your "keeping your head below the parapet" philosophy..... You know of course that you ARE better than working in such a rotten environment - I hope you're looking for something better? Please believe me - you're better to get out before they completely destroy your self confidence.

I have a UU and a TA (Is that what we're using for Thrown Away?!)

UU - L'Oreal Gentle eyemakeup remover WIBA? - regulars to the thread already know the answer to that one....and if you *don't* understand that, then go, buy a bottle, use it, and you too will be converted! Yep - stocked up on these on a cracking special offer last year so already have the next one out of the stash!

TA - TBS Vitamin E Cleansing Bar - I've been trying to use this up for ages, but each time I've returned to using it after a few days it's left my skin with sore red patches. I guess it's just too harsh for me, but in any case it's gone in the bin. WIBA? Clearly not - for me I think one think I know now is that I prefer the creamy wash-off cleansers to the bar type. (With an exception being made for Clinique's gentle facial cleansing bar which I lurve!)

Boots sale: I did wander in, in the hope of getting stuff I would actually use, and love, at a bargain price. (S&G Breakfast scrub & Sanctuary stuff) I picked up the last S&G tin on the shelf, but it turned out to be without its handcream, and as they refused to knock any more off it for that fact, I put it back. Other than that I got one of those Umberto Giannini sets and that was in all in the way of toiletries. HRH The Cat will look ultra-smart in her new Celia Birtwell collar though! :rotfl:

Two UU, Random Bath Bomb and Hair Doctor from lush. Will buy Hair Doctor again as soon as my itchy scalp flares up, its so lovely and cooling =) Random bath bomb was random =)
  • I have another UU: Lush Ultralight lotion. It was a 10ml sample which I used up as a facial moisturiser. I used to like it when it was SPF14 but they have reduced it to SPF10 so WNBA.

    MQ
  • I finally have a couple of UUs!!!

BS Cocoa Butter body scrub WBA if it wasn't for a stash of random scrubs. I've been told that the Boots Extracts body scrubs are similar and MUCH cheaper :) So will use up the ones in the stash before any more purchases!

and Avon Care Glycerine Hand and Nail Cream WNBA - it felt too greasy and almost flaked off my hands. very odd.
  • Hope everyone is well, squeeze up on the naughty step over there ive even brought my own cushion :p and nibbles.

    Ins to report

Freebie Tesco lipgloss from a survey (might be a giveaway at some point, i'm not sure its my shade, not even opened it)

Superdrug Toner - reduced to 49p and realised my simple travel size is almost empty

Pantene Conditioner 400ml had a voucher from a freebie for £1 off so while tesco had there offers on got it for £2 instead of £3 or £4 odd

    Outs to report

Superdrug dry sampoo - WNBA didnt like it as good as balista and it smelt funny.

Colgate toothpaste - yay sparkly sparkly proud dentist on to the next one :D

  • if you get a nice member of staff they will put it through with the store zip code and address. As long as they have an email address they will be quite happy - at least that was what they offered to do for me. I didn't take one but I do have a Walgreens, CVS and Chico's fashion cards now so I can get discount. My purse that I keep for dollars has nearly as many loyalty cards as my sterling one!

Thats fantastic!! I love, love, love US pharmacy's - what is with them that makes them soooo good??

Well, I DID NOT but the Alpha-h cleanser last night. Decided to continue with my Elemis one for a little longer.

However..............I kind of bought Alpha-h liquid gold intensive night serum. (if I write it really tiny it doesn't count - correct?)

But, I made a saving - it was the last day at IP, so if I bought it next month when I will run out of my current bottle, it would cost me more. Method in my madness eh?? Surely that means a shorter stay on the naughty step?

Also decided (just now) that my HIAJ is going in the bin.I really cannot remember when I bought it - so that's not a good start. I cannot risk that kind of reaction on my skin again. I'm off upstairs now to get it and dump it. Will also put £1 in my pot - even though it's not a UU.

Friends birthday in Feb, and have put together a collection of S&G stuff for her. Think I may well have a S&G bag/ box also, so it will look nice! Going to do the same for my goddaughter whose birthday is in April - also got some Ferne Cotton stuff from B***s at 50% off after xmas. So she should be pleased with that.

Mum's birthday is in March - right before Mothers DAY!- and have put a Decleor collection together for her. I know she loves that stuff.

It really does say something about my habitt and sate of affairs that I able to put together three (really nice) birthday pressies, without having to leave the house and spend money!

    I'm a sad case:D

In addition to being a shoe polish for leather, Po-Zu Edible Shoe Cream is also a delicious ‘all-in-one’ beauty product that can be used as a lip balm, skin moisturiser, hair conditioner, massage oil and cooking oil. You can even spread it on your toast for a nutritious snack.

Yes ladies and jellyspoons, big green smile sell edible shoe polish...
