    Hello ladies,

Sorry for the long silence, was in England for a few days then brought a cold back with me and been off work, seems I am not the only one though.

The good news is, I have 2 UUs:

Kneipp relaxing bath oil 20ml, lovely stuff, turns the water a gorgeous colour and the scent is divine. WBA when I need to!

Dove deo spray, travel size. Prefer the roll ons so WNBA.

The bad news is I returned with a 19kg heavy case, most of which was toiletries :eek::eek: So, here are my INs:

Sanctuary beauty case - this was OOTW at Boots before xmas and I ordered it. It really is gorgeous and I'm glad I did!

Sanctuary salt scrub, full size - bought on points before xmas, but couldn't bring with me last time as I only had hand luggage.

BS cranberry handcream 50ml, from the sale at the airport

The following are all from the Boots 1/2 price sale:

3 x Sanctuary gift sets, all with 3-5 minis in them

    2x Champneys gift sets

    Sanctuary hand duo

Extracts Cranberry gift bag: scrub, shower gel, body butter full size.

Then there were a few other gift sets, all of which are in the present stash (and will firmly stay there).

Oh dear, 2012 got off to a good start......well, you know where I'll be.....Hope you ladies are staying stronger than me :A

  • I've only been gone for the weekend - so much to catch up on! I had things planned for today, looks like my plans are changing!!

I have some UUs to report and also some v exciting news (well I'm excited!) I have won tickets for the QVC Beauty Bash so am off there on 25 Jan (yippee) :j. I last went 7 years ago when I was expecting my youngest daughter and that was courtesy of a friend of mine so I can now take her along this year.

Kiplingmonkey - you have not won these tickets, you have paid for them with your hard earned cash over many months!!! I know - I did it for years!! This is the first time in (6?) years that I have not been sent tickets - a coincidence that this happens months after me joining this thread, I think not!!! Don't get me wrong, you will have the BEST day, and I am very jel!!!! Keep me updated with all of your freebies.

Also - the last time you went was it a case of 'here is an empty bag, go and fill it with freebies'?? If so, you might find this has changed. Last year the venue had also moved (Islington I think). We all got a goodie bag on the way out and each 'stall' gave away almost nothing. Instead, they offered their services - facials, manicures, make-up's, hair do's, brow shaping etc. We didn't realise this when we went in, so didn't run about like idiots, booking 'appointments' with everyone. so we didn't get that much done. My advice to you - spend 30mins running about booking up the rest of your time there. May as well get what you can while its on offer!!

Valm/ Bev - I think the HIAJ is going in the bin. The smell is really off-putting. Not too Sure that I really want to put it on my face again.

Fannyadams- A beauty TSV that I missed!! I would not have bought it, as I'm a good girl now. But it does mean I have to add £5 to my Vegas fund. For every TSV I do not buy, £5 goes into the pot. I know I will really appreciate it when I open that pot in August!

Well - a round of applause for me...... My Alpha -H cleanser ran out, but I did not go and but another one! How good am I??? I had a new Elemis pro-radience cleanser (under the bed!) and so have brought it into the bathroom to be used up.

Have also UU a 15ml PCMC - it wasnt full when I 'found' it again. So that's another £2 in the pot.

As my HIAJ is going in the bin I have decided to finally use all of the mini freebies I got from Elemis at last yrs QVC beauty bash. Each one is 3ml, and I have 45 (!!!) tubes of PCMC. I cannot possibly afford to put £1 in the pot for UU each one of those. So I have decided that I will put the £1 for every 5 tubes used.

Phew, I think that's it for now :D

I always look at the procucts in Aldi but I never take the plunge, what else do you rate?

I like their face serum - really good price and just as good as the Champneys one I'm using now. Not as good as the S&G or P&P ones as I prefer a more gel-like consistancy but for a creamy serum it's fantastic :D

I didn't get the body shop email with a free coupon:(:(:(

Me neither :( I've got a £10 off WYS £25 to use and I'm on my 8th LYB stamp - so hopefully I can combine the two and get £25 worth of stuff for less than a fiver. Will get DD's face cleansing stuff for her birthday and some Spiced Vanilla stuff with whats left. Fingers crossed they let me combine :p

So at some point, I have come in from boots, put my shopping in the hall then never actually NOTICED that I hadnt even put the things I had bought away. Too much stuff!

I used to do that too :o It used to go in the spare room to be 'sorted' later and I'd never get round to it. If nothing else this thread has cured me of that :T

I still have no IN's (or UU's :() but I do have a 'FOUND' :j I found the BS Spiced Vanilla Handcream I thought I'd lost - so very pleased with that :D

I've had to give one of my bathroom drawers over to DD so everything is all higgledy-piggeldy again :( Still - gives me another reason to sort it all out again. :p

Have a great Monday all
  • Hi All!

Just popping in quickly to say

    a) sorry for being awol - busy start to the year! Will try to catch up asap!

    b) 2 UU to report;

Clarins Hydra-Matte moisturiser (mini) - WBA, I like both this and the ultra-matte, although I'm not sure how mattifying they are they're nice moisturisers. If I could find cheap/wangle future free samples I will use again!
Charles Worthington Moisture Seal takeaways conditioner - WBA, having used it after not using it for a long time I've remembered that I like it, and my hair is nice and soft today. I think there are others I like more though... and par for the course, I still have half the shampoo to use.

And most importantly - halfway through the month and no Ins so far! :T

Off to catch up with everything I've missed!

Evilsquid They probably put all the Ambrosia shaving creams in grab bags because nobody would buy them!

CompletelyLost I bought the Superdrug dry shampoo (before this offer :( ) and I'm so far impressed with it. I found Batiste didn't last very long (not good for the price it is), and I'm happy with this as an affordable alternative.

Sunshineyday I can't remember if I replied to your comment about my blog, but thank you :) Petrol in the Water is sooo gorgeous. If you only buy one Andrea Fulerton polish ever, that should be it!!

tokkiandoliver I add items to online shopping baskets and then delete them. I do sit there for a while having an internal debate about the pros and cons of buying :o:rotfl::rotfl:

VALM I'm glad you're getting on with the new job

Adela31 your post about finding stuff you'd forgotten you had bought had me :rotfl: That's happened to me before too :o

Lemon Tree That's great news on the stash reduction - yay :j

Sister2 used to use the tri-enzyme cleanser, but it made her face (even more) sensitive. Then she noticed it recommends on the bottle that you use a SPF30 sunblock with it!! So she then had to buy a sunblock to use whenever she cleansed with it (which helped her face regain calmness from what I recall).

InAPickle I love my Benefit Sugarbomb!! Do you mix the colours together or just use one?

    UUs
Benefit Hello Flawless:WIBA? Yes!! I did buy two last November as my shade has been discontinuted :(
Organic Surge Cleanser:WIBA? Yes. I was recommended this by sister1 and liked it. I'm now going to try to UU a cleanser I was testing for Boots last year, then it's just a Clarins Cleanser/Toner duo set I've been waiting to start since I bought it (last January )
Colgate Pro-Relief (trial size) - was given this by my dentist to stop me using plain Colgate :rotfl:
TBS Neroli Jasmin body spray: WIBA? No. I was given this 5/6 years ago. It smelt nice enough but as I don't really use this type of body spray I used it as a room spray.

    INs
Myface Cosmetics Purple Haze Blingtone Trio - Found this in the reduced section in MrB's. I really rate myface products, and was v happy to find this at £2.44, which then scanned at £1.62 as there was also an offer of 1/3rd off all myface products :j I already have the purple haze single blingtone & love it, so would have regretted not buying this!
Sensodyne Pronamel x 3 - recommended this by dentist as I'm wearing my teeth by subconsciously grinding them :eek: MrB's have the best price by far at the moment (£2.37 for daily and £2.10 for whitening version). I may stock up as I refuse to pay £4.50 per tube!!

    NPIs :o
Philosophy Fun in the Frosty Air - these smelt delicious. In store and online I put it in my basket... and then put it back.
    Myface Gigabite Lipstick - I don't wear lipstick. And I won't even if it's £2. (Plus I have a countless number already).
Revlon Lipgloss - I do wear gloss, I just have far too many already.

Hello ladies! Good to see we're having so many successful OUTs :)

I have one more- a packet of Boots cucumber face wipes- I have a fair few lurking about. I don't think I would but them again because I use them so infrequently now.
  • quick question -

Do you guys consider it an "IN" if you get something for free? sorry it may sound like a stupid question, but just trying to figure out if I need to count freebies as "ins" or not. thanks xx

I do personally count them as IN's - whether a freebie or a gift. It all adds to the stash that I'm trying to control.

I don't, however, sit on the naughty step for freebie IN's :p they are guilt free ;)
