  • UU's Champneys spa indulgence shower cream with coconut milk and ylang ylang WBA lovely stuff but a better designed lid would help as its a screw top and a bit fiddley also a bit of a squeeze is needed to get it out as its only a small hole although this made it last longer.

UU Veet hair removal mousse WBA does what it says on the tin although a bit tricky to get out when spraying the backs of the legs needs to be kept upright.

UU DKNY Delicious night body lotion sample, lovely smell like this range so may buy the perfume to this.

UU Mary Kay satin hands steps 1,2,3 my hands are now v soft!

UU Veet hair minimising body moisturiser sample, can't say if it minimises but it smells nice.

UU l'Oreal collagen filler eye cream sample don't think one lot will work miracles lol.

UU L'Oreal Collagen lip filler and contour plumper sample my lips do feel plumper but no trout pout!

UU Green people shampoo and conditioner samples, had to add extra as not enough for my hair.

UU foreverlily perfume sample was nice.

I have raided the sachets basket this morning as its pretty full up!

    4 x UU

    - Loreal Everstrong Reconstruct Shampoo 250 ml - Im quite gutted this is finished as im betting it will be very expensive when it is released in the UK - WBA in a sale haha, it has worked wonders and added lots of body and volume to my hair. I also hate finishing a shampoo before the conditioner haha
    -
Boots Extracts 200ml Cranberry Body Wash - WMBA if it was in a sale.......I don't tend to spend much on Body Wash's as they are on and off in a second LOL
    -
Balance Activ Vaginal Gel - Sample
    -
Monu Energising Facial Wash, 5ml - WMBA- i quite like the MONU stuff but i don't think i would spend the money on the full size products as they dont do very much more than alot of others........i will stick to the samples if i see them for cheap online :)

On another note, my pot now has £17.28 in it..........not bad for only being the 15th :)

    Total debts = [STRIKE]£3116[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]2216[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£2066[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1916[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1766[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1616[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1466[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1316[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1166[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£1016[/STRIKE]£866
    DMP £150 each month
Total paid off so far £2150 :D

Thanks salesaddict, your right. I've done pretty well, I've used my stuff and now I have new things that I will use and appreciate not hoard and then just want rid of.

I was going to look at the TopShop makeup today but the skinny yound people put me off going in. It sounds lovely, who can resist a new foundation?!

I know exactly what you mean. The way I get round this is never stopping to look at the clothes, not even for old times sake!

I did ask one of the impossibly slim young assistants if there was ever any special offers on the make up. You know, like 3 for 2 or bogof, but she did not seem to be able to comprehend the question:)

She did really, she said there are never any special offers because the range sells so well. Apparently the range is one of those "insider beauty" secrets that is so successful at making me part with my money :(

Valm, how are you getting on in your new job? Hope you feel it was the right move.

    Becky

Thanks for asking Becky. The job is going really well. I don't know if I mentioned but I got it through a lady I used to work for (when I was made redundant in 2008). I'd been temping in the public sector since then and had bumped into her during my time at the Council when she had said she was looking for a new job. She contacted me just before Christmas saying she had moved jobs some time ago and having now found her feet and knowing they were recruiting again referred them to me. So it's nice to be working with someone who I know is organised and works hard in the first place. The only thing is that I'm a bit rusty having been out of conveyancing for the past 3 years and the system is taking some getting used to but I'm not beating myself up - tomorrow will only be week 3. I do leave at night though knowing that I've got done everything she has given me which is making her happier as well.

Trying so hard to be good, put Leighton Denny TSV in shopping cart, pootled around for a bit, looked at bank on-line, (solvent - but things I want to buy for new house) so took it out again, that is not to say that I may not weaken later though, ladies please blow strong willed thoughts my way.

Saw your post yesterday maddemay but didn't get a chance to post. Did you resist? I saw the 5.00pm show by which time the neutrals had gone but having seen a picture of them I was a bit underwhelmed. I think they were all new colours - and the only one that I thought was nice was Porcelein Doll - but the Bright collection were all old colours and I owned one of those already - I Love Juicy. Have never wanted to own Rebel (not a fan of purples at all) and the pink is similar to others I own. I've only ever had one of LD's TSVs in the past and that was this time last year when my daughter bought it me for my birthday. I loved the colours but was pretty underwhelmed by the treatments in there TBH.

Yesterday I did my first toiletry purchase this year. I couldn't resist a bargain! I walked through Debenhams at lunch time a spotted that a reduced Jadore set was on the shelf again with 50 ml perfume, 50ml shower gel and 50 ml body milk reduced to £43.33 (when just the perfume is normally £60). I enquired about this set just after Christmas when they were first reduced and was told that they were sold out but today SA had found 4 more sets in the stock room. I couldn't resist. I have been saving up my Boots point for the last couple of years for a bottle of Jadore and wasn't far off from getting one for free but I would have regretted if I didn't buy this set.

Yesterday, I was called into the office at work and was asked if I wanted to cover for our secretary for our new management team for 6 months when she goes on maternity leave at the end of this month. I have only been a temp in this department for 2 months and feel chuffed that the management had noticed my potential and appreciated what I consider to be my strong points so now I will get increased pay and have work until August rather than March this year. This job will look very good on my CV! About a year ago I had no choice to resign from my permanent job because I was bullied by my manager who thought that all my strong points were rubbish and made me feel rotten as a person, ever since then I have tried not to use my initiative and have stopped suggesting things at work. Anyway, I cannot tell you how good I feel that my strong points have been noticed. I also take great pleasure in that I reported that manager to the head of the division who investigated my claims and I have recently found out that the person who bullied me lost their job.

This set for me will be a reminder when I feel like I got my confidence back and to always believe in myself.

As someone else has posted your purchase is well deserved especially as you have been intending to buy the perfume itself. Congrats on being offered the maternity leave cover. I know how it feels to temp and face uncertainty when an assignment is coming to an end. Who knows maybe if things pick up within the company you are at you could be offered a permanent position. I wish you well. x

Ins FREE Clinique Mascara from the swap got the High Impact as love this! In from TBS got an email for a free lip butter so got a coconut one and also bought a bottle of Rainforest shampoo as this is one of the few shampoos at the mo that my scalp seems to tolerate. I am gutted as I bought a large bottle of Aveda Colour shampoo and that is making my scalp dry and itchy so I am going to try and alternate with the rainforest one as the Aveda is to expensive to part with.

I got the High Lengths one yesterday. Swapped it for my Avon Magnify one which was spluttering. Another £1. in the pot. There was quite a queue when I got there and only one SA on the Clinique counter. Going back for my consultation on 11 Feb as it's just before my birthday so will feel justified if I treat myself. Anyone know what the GWP will be running from 27 Jan?

Went into TBS yesterday and didn't buy anything. I just couldn't not with all the shower gels/body lotions/butters I already have.

Have repainted my nails today and am wearing Sephora by OPI Sample Sale which looks identical to OPI An Affair in Red Square which I already own phew!

    Gok gorgeous spray on moisturiser
only £3.98 for them both though so I'm not going to feel too guilty :D

Did you buy these from Ebay? Only asking because I wasn't aware that Boots sold the Gok items singularly. Do Boots only sell Gok products at Christmas as well? Only asking as Emma has developed a fondness for his products. They smell too floral for me though.

Sales addict, thats very true and actually my stash was getting very low so I think I went a bit crazy. I was on my last showergel and my last body lotion and now I have a few winging their merry way to me so they will start to be used soon.

I do need to save for a shopping trip in February and I also need to get out of my overdraft so I'm feeling a bit guilty and I really don't need anything now and also no shopping trips until feb anyway so just need to keep away from online shopping.

if you are down to the last in your stash you would have to replace those products anyway wouldn't you? Where are you going to in Feb?
i keep adding things to my watch list on ebay, and then feel extremely guilty and then delete them.
This is getting to be tiresome LOL!

    Must....resist.....lol!
Is anyone else going through this?

Not so bad if you are only watching at the mo! :)

Thanks Valm, good luck to you too in your new job. It sounds like you are having a great introduction to your new job and knowing that you are working with someone that you like and who thinks highly of you, that in itself wants you to work even harder. No longer being a temp is also a relief at least you can feel a bit more settled and can make more plans for the future. I wish you all success in your new job.
