Sales addict, thats very true and actually my stash was getting very low so I think I went a bit crazy. I was on my last showergel and my last body lotion and now I have a few winging their merry way to me so they will start to be used soon.

I do need to save for a shopping trip in February and I also need to get out of my overdraft so I'm feeling a bit guilty and I really don't need anything now and also no shopping trips until feb anyway so just need to keep away from online shopping.

    Well there you are then:)
When you get to the stage where your stash is in every room in the house and your long-suffering family are really getting the hump with you.
Then you can start beating yourself up x
  • Thanks salesaddict, your right. I've done pretty well, I've used my stuff and now I have new things that I will use and appreciate not hoard and then just want rid of.

I was going to look at the TopShop makeup today but the skinny yound people put me off going in. It sounds lovely, who can resist a new foundation?!

Him Indoors cut all his credit cards through the magnetic strip so he couldnt use them in a shop. Doesnt work for him, he orders everything online and the numbers are still readable lol! I need to take my black pots back to lush, will I be able to resist getting anything else when I am there? Hmmmmm

A TA - Handy Tooth Cleaning Kit. No idea why I have hung onto this. I was having a bit of a clear out and thought back to where I got this. Answer - my best friend bought me it as joke gift, I haven't spoken to this friend in 10 years :eek::eek:

Off to have another root around to see what else may be lurking.

EDIT - I have also flung out rembrandt dazzling gel too

    I've been Money Tipped!
1 UU this week. Clarins silky smooth body lotion. WIBA - i would love to but I really need to cut back. It smells lovely and absorbs quickly but because of this I use twice as much! I have put another £2 in my 'No buying toiletries fund'. I am trying not to buy any body lotions/shower ges/scrubs etc until I have used up all of my stash. When I have completed this massive task hopefully I will have enough money to replace the products that I love.

A couple more UU to report -

Lush Cinders ballistic - WBA, can't get enough of these, thing there are 2 more in the stash

DHC Velvet Skin Coat - WNBA, made me an oily mess! Well even more than I am already! Think I might give up on primers for the moment.

Lush Karma soap - Finished up the bar that was by the sink.

    And a couple of IN's to report;

Lush New Shampoo Bar and Lush Hair Doctor. I needed something to help sort my hair loss out and these have quite good reviews.

I get a very itchy scalp (Stress the doctor says) and hair doctor is absolutly lush (oops pun not intended there) for cooling and smelling lovely and minty and stopping the itching! I have been known to leave it on for a few hours in the evening just for the relief.

I have recently started to withdraw a set amount every Friday, in my case this is £20 and this is my "to live on" money (this includes buying lunch, toiletries etc as well) that will have to last until the following Friday. I started this is in January and it has really helped me to keep my budget on track. If there is any money left in my purse the following Friday I put that money in my pot or put it aside if I know that I am doing something special in a few weeks time (like a meal). The first week I did this I failed miserably and had spent it all by Monday so for the first time in my life I walked around with a purse with no coins for 4 days but I was determined not to withdraw. Good luck with finding your own way of not spending.

I had a bath last night which I rarely do so have 2 more UU's. Small bottle of Decleor aromaessence bath concentrate, I didn't like this since I like bubbles in my bath so I poured in the last bit of Cowshed's relaxing bath and shower gel. Cowshed smells lovely but I have 2 more shower gels to use up.

    Have a nice Sunday everyone.
No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j

These sound like good ideas, Becky.

I am also getting more into baths. I used to be shower exclusive: I've worked abroad a lot and the shower was the only option so when I came back to the UK I just continued with the habit. I would also say that it's quick but actually....! Unless I'm rushing in the morning I have a set routine:

    Shampoo and rinse
    Condition
    Shave
    foot scrub
    body scrub
    face scrub
    femfresh wash
    shower gel
    rinse hair

and it seems to take forever! Plus I just stand there under the hot water for an age! So showers are not all that much quicker than a bath!

I digress. Baths are back on the agenda because they are a nice opportunity to relax and do some non-course related reading and (more importantly) I can use some of my lovely products.

UU: Sephora fizzing sugar cube last night. Think it was a present for my 19th or 20th birthday :rotfl: so it's been hanging around for a few years! Still, seemed to be fine... although I'm not too sure what its purpose was?!

Ah well, hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday. I have a stupid essay to write so boo :( xx
Goals for 2012: finish course; get job; new pet; ring; house; car; holiday; learn to knit; size 10; finish '50 books to read before July 18': 17/50 ; savings account: £2450.68/£6000; improve my French and German.... how many can I achieve?! :D
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2012. UU: 8/160
    SPC 2012 1648: £20.47p/?£100

Ive got myself into quite the wee routine aswell..................my mother nearly had a fit at me for taking so long in the bathroom when i was back for Christmas...i guess you just get used to only living with one other person and having an electric shower haha...

My routine is meaning that i get loads of things used up..........which is the whole point, so if i take longer..then so be it :rotfl:

Im getting more into baths aswell and have decided to have at least one a week as a treat :) although i cant stay in them for long as i get too hot haha.....baths are a godsend when the monthly cramps kick in :)
