Thanks for the kind words, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Should really count myself lucky I have a job in any shape or form! The person actually in the role I went for also didn't get it, and she was told one week before christmas! Oh the joys of restructuring...Emergency savings: 4600

To be more patient with those who are so severly disabled that their legs only function while babbling into mobile phone as they cross the road, shop and hold up the queues.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. I think that there are some pitfalls when you're working to regain your fitness. You run at the pace you think you should be running at or that you remember being able to maintain easily, and your body isn't on the same page!
That said, knowing what you're capable of is great motivation and if you put in the time and the miles you'll probably get back up to your old level of fitness surprisingly quickly.
Totally agree, especially about my body not being on the same page, I'm carrying an extra 5 kilos to boot!Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop0 -

Erm... I hope that's a good thing.Jennifer_Jane wrote: »Generali, I've worked for Portuguese people and didn't know about the 12 sultanas, I'm so full of admiration for people who genuinely know - and remember - so much diverse information.
I wish I could give blood, but there's a question about 'Have you ever slept with someone from Africa', or some such? And, as I lived in Africa for 26 years, and in fact, am still sleeping with someone from Africa, I can't, apparently. Pity, it's an easy way to, literally, 'give something back', and good for you too!
Happy New Year to you all - I'm addicted to this board as well. I've learnt so much.
Now, if only I could remember it all....

After having read this thread I think adding 'Give blood' to my list of resolutions is a good idea!
And the fact that it won't be 80% proof will help“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
