£25 for me to Virgin cc, plse Allie.

I hate April - too many things going up but wages going down. Energy company wants to change my DD for combined gas and electric from £58 per month to £82:eek: and even worse reckons I'm over £360 in arrears and they want to take it all at once in May :eek::eek: - it's more than my mortgage! Cue distressed phone call tonight - not sorted but have to take meter readings every day for a week and then call back:(

On the plus side this made me do something I'd been meaning to do for a while and ring Sky to get a better deal - which I have, paying less per month but adding in phone calls so will save by not paying my current phone provider as well. Already have internet with them and apparently pay more for that if not also taking their phone package. Sounds good so I hope it works in practice.

Really feel for you Jetcat :( We had this with our electricity - they wanted to change our DD from £50 to £300 a month! They then told us we were in arrears of approx £1300  We'd only lived there for 9 months at this point. Don't want to worry you but that kicked off with us in June 2011 and after their massive incompetence we finally procured a deadlock letter in March 2012 and our complaint is with the Ombudsman at the moment. I'm sure yours won't come to that at all but my advice would be stick with what you can afford and stay strong on that as they will try and bully you but that they cannot take what you don't have. We agreed to pay arrears off at £10 a month. Also, if it appears that it's going to turn into a bit of a lengthy complaint then start taking notes now as it gets hard to remember details such as who you spoke to on what date etc

Sorry for the long reply but as you can probably guess our electric company are not my favourite people :D
