I think you'll be fine, from my experience the staff at Flybe are really nice and will probably move you to an empty row if they can. Normally the arm rests go up so you should be comfy. Enjoy the trip to see your mum, this stress is taking away from your trip which should be fun. Extension seat belts are normally offered discretly to people who need them.Flybe also offer a service whereby passengers who need more time to board can board first, my dad is a nervous flyer and he always goes on ahead of the crowd. Maybe you could do this and settle yourself...would also give you the chance to speak to the crew and ask for an empty seat next to you if there is one?Have a good trip.No more toys til Xmas 2022 , mfw 2023 challenge , Trying to not waste food , time or money and appreciate the moment more!0

If you look on Seat Guru and find the same plane with a different airline, you can check out which seat is which...

I'm a 16 - 18, and I struggle on FlyBe. However it's only an hour, and I have seen far bigger than both of us put together manage, so I'd try not to worry about it!
On the diet subject, most of us that are larger are so because of unusual eating habits rather than eating too much. I think I've had one McDonalds in two years, yet some people assume I must live on them! If you can only manage one meal try to make it a decent breakfast, something like eggs on toast and grapefruit (not together!), as this is slow release energy and will get your metabolism going.
Enjoy your trip.

Hi, I have flown flybe quite a few times and find their seatbelts generous (I struggle with other airlines and don't understand why they aren't an inch or 2 longer!!)
but what I do is sit down buckle up and lift the seat rest ever so slightly.. dont sit in an exit row the seat rest doesn't lift (made that mistake before!)
hey OP thank you for coming on here and asking this question im sure lots of people want to and dont!0 -
Happy new year Purplekylie22. You possibly wont read this till some time later. I also live in Aberdeen and my daughter lives in Leicester, so far I've always driven when visiting her. However I quite often fly to London or Birmingham and will say that BA seats are very tight (I'm a size 20) but flybe seem to always be more comfy and as someone else said once your up you can raise the arm rest which helps.0

just ask for the belt. You wont be comfortable but it will be bearable (just dont get the front row or exit seats) and the other problem is the tray thing wont sit properly in all likelihood - but you dont have to eat, just take a drink.0
