I have used a semi-permanent dye on my hair for a few years now. I generally colour it like a dark copper red.
However, I'm noticing more & more grey/silver hairs showing through only a week or two after colouring it.
My hair is naturally mid to dark brown & I'm now looking for ways to better disguise the grey hairs.
Any recommendations/advice would be welcome

I don't disguise mine anymore I love my silver hair , its shiny well cut and is so much easier than trying to cover it up.. but if you must lol ,going lighter might be the answer that way the grey/silver doesn't show so much.#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

If I grew the dye out I wouldn't be fully grey, just got a lot of "sprinklings" of it.
If my roots were completely grey, I would certainly consider going fully grey or even go blondish.0 -
I see what you mean, its difficult but at some point you have to just say well sod it I'm not doing the dye thing anymore.. you're not there yet.. going lighter is the only suggestion I have ..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

I've been using a dilute henna 'gloss' on the greys for years. Get the strength right & it adds a golden sparkle. Get it too strong & it's carrots! I do the roots every 2 weeks, & just the roots that show (I wear my hair up). It takes just 15 mins or so.
edit - incredibly cheap too. A bag of henna 250g will last a couple of years!"Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -
I started to go grey when I was around 18. I've got a good coverage but not enough to not colour my hair. I used to dye it my natural colour (dark brown) but the white hair would throw the colour off so now I have gone blond. With the white it makes it look like I have natural highlights
and blonds have much more fun

I do absolutely nothing with my grey hairs, which have been slowly protruding out over the past 2 Years. Although I have a receding hairline, it could be worse, i could have a bald patch or combover.
Would shave my head if I had a bald patch, but a few grey hairs are of no concern to me. Some women may find them sexy, so has to be a bonus.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I started getting grey hair in my 20's but have never felt the need to do anything about them. People still think I'm younger so they haven't aged me.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
