VALUE FOR MONEYWe are going to Vegas in a few weeks there are four of us travelling. I have read on here about the LVA coupon booklet and I am considering buying one for my Wife and I and my Daughter who is 21 is also wanting to buy one for her and my Son who is 18.
However when I read the terms and conditions of a couple of the 2 for 1 buffets it mentions that you have to be at least 21 so would my Daughter not be able to get the 2 for 1 offer with my Son only being 18? They will not be purchasing any alcohol.
You have to be 21 because for many of the 2 for 1 buffets you also have to be members of the casino rewards, but even so that wont stop your daughter getting the 2 for 1 as she is 21, doesnt matter who is having the free one0 -
HOTELSLooking at hiring a limo for a special treat from the airport to Vdara, we only need it one way so do you think that hiring it for an hour will be enough time?
Also looking at shows, O is on our short list but i can't find and deals and 129 dollars each sounds pretty expensive unless it's brilliant. Is it really that good?
Only 8 weeks left now0 -

really a matter of personal opinion but we thought so...bearing in mind a stage that includes something like 1.5m gallon tank of water, nearly 100 performers and a theatre that cost something like $100m to build...you can see why tickets are pretty expensive - it's an amazing show, but some people don't like Cirque, or don't like O...will be difficult for anyone to say if it would be worth it to a particular person.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

I took my daughter to vegas when she was 18, she hated it. She wasnt able to be in the gaming areas with us and even going for a drink of an evening was a major problem.
Still, come October she is 21 and we are flying out on her birthday, she's gonna love it this time......0 -

You can get a limo from the airport just as if you were getting a normal taxi, no idea what it costs though, I did it 13 years ao0 -

I think Vegas must be one of the worst places for an 18 to 21 year old to be.0 -
CASINOSno idea if you're still using the forum harrisab, but how did you get on with this?
(from last years thread:

I got free tickets for carrot top, meal for 2 at tender, and a lot of TR points - its discussed quite a bit here http://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/showthread.php?t=771920 -
CASINOSHas anyone tried packing Wineboxes or similar in their check in luggage (in a ziplock bag maybe just in case!).
My GF likes a glass of wine or 6, and wine at Wynn where we are staying is very expensive. Alternatively, are there any cheap booze places that end of the strip?
she doesn't like to gamble  but I have tried to explain that sitting by the slots (well pretending to play) is a cheap way to get wine in the casino!0 -

not a bad start for a bit of faff
Unfortunately looks like Luxor aren't on the program any more
Having had a bit of a play, here's some tips and advice if anyone else fancies doing this:
- I only gave permission for the Facebook app to make posts that were visible to "just me" so none of my friends get bombarded with *spam*
- My twitter followers have gone down since I started doing this, so maybe focus on Facebook where possible
- You only get 3 shares a day, so you're best going through and covering off all the ones that 'dont count' towards this limit first - Ie. Retweets, Favourites, watching and sharing Youtube videos etc
- You can switch from program to program, however once you've reached your 3 share limit, you cant use the program till the 'day' has been reset
- You get 500 points for a friend signing up for Total Rewards via. a link (have not done this yet but seems an easy 500 points as friend doesn't have to go Vegas?)
edit: Forgot to say, I've read that a redemption also keeps your 6 month points expiry alive, so could be useful if you've forgotten to redeem points before leaving Vegas
edit2: actually, my points from yesterday have just gone through (some take up to 24 hours to stop you from 'deleting' a post from your timeline / twitter too soon) - actually have over 2800 now ($28 worth)0 -

You will get bottles of wine in the ABC store in Fashion Show Mall across the street. I also think there will be liquor stores to the north. You could also consider asking your taxi driver to stop somewhere if you need a stash of stuff.0
