so, to sum up, i asked two questions. Is there anywhere i can get a replica watch from What's the best way to take money over? cash, cash passport, travellers cheques etc. I assume the fcukwit who told me to photocopy dollars is just a troll so has anyone got any genuine advice?

To start with I can't help with a replica watch but I don't see why you would want a replica when they are cheaper over there to begin with, especially in Premium Outlet

For money usually a mixture of cash and debit card, when paying by debit card you usually get the exchange rate of the day.

We normally use a debit card too, but we have a couple of accounts with no fees for foreign currency withdrawals...some cards have pretty hefty fees so important to check...for a relatively small amount of cash and/or few withdrawals it still may make more sense than spending a lot of time making alternate arrangements though.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

thanks for all that info. seems cash and card is the way to go without much hassle.

as for the watch, always thought somewhere like vegas would be awash with things like that. would never spend hundreds on a watch but i'd get a copy for a few quid.

as mentioned, I think you're better off looking in the street markets of mainland Europe, or just go to South London!

    Vegas and Fake stuff?
    What gave you that idea?

Like secret said, try somewhere like Camden market or just google for foreign knock offs that will fall apart in a week.

I could never understand why people buy fake stuff.
Youll hardly feel good wearing it and will the but of many a joke when people realise its fake (and they will)

Why not get a cheap Casio from argos, spray it gold and write ROLEX on it? Nobody will ever know. honest

Have you looked in the overseas spending money section of the travel sticky on this site.

And the fake dollars followed on from the fake watch and was very funny!!!

Yeah they have but it would cost using it that way as they have to load the maps on the go. using a specific app would be best as the maps are already loaded.

I think using Co pilot would be free via gps, but I though google maps would also be free via GPS, maybe I am wrong

Well we're finally here as part of our honeymoon.

Arrived Sunday late afternoon, staying at The Signature. Explored the MGM and some of the strip on Sunday evening then had an early night as we were up yesterday at 6am for a tour of the Grand Canyon South Rim. The tour was fantastic (Grand Adventures, found via Trip Advisor), we got back at 1am last night!

Now we have 2 days left.

I have the Jersey Boys booked tonight and haven't planned anything else for today. Via an offer posted here I have 48hr monorail tickets.

Any suggestions on what to do? Was thinking that we should travel north and explore the hotels today then eat somewhere before the show. The show is at Paris, so any suggestions? I have heard that the cheesecake factory is good.
