    Hey everyone

Just under a week to go now before I'm out in Vegas!

Was just sorting my currency out but thought I'd pop on here to see what the regulars think is best.

I am going to change up a few hundred pounds into dollars before I go, the rest I planned on spending/withdrawing on my Halifax Clarity card - will be my first time using it, does anyone else use this card, particularly for cash withdrawals? I know its the best option to use for foreign currency but I just can't help being scared of withdrawing cash from a credit card!

Don't be, I used my clarity almost exclusively on our trip last year. The interest charged on cash withdrawals is very low. If your card has 12.9% APR a £300 (~$500) withdrawal will cost roughly 10p per day in interest. If you have a means to use online banking, pay it off immediately if not and you wait till you're home it'll still only be a few £.

Remember to tell them when you're gonna be in vegas and that you'll be using the card.

i've seen people mention the Scoot City tours before and they get great reviews on Tripadvisor, etc... but I'm not sure what I'm missing, they don't look thaaaat interesting?

is the park a disappointment compared to the GC? i appreciate they're different things...

on the face of it, it sounds like my kinda thing, but not sure if 4-odd hours of it would get a bit boring?

Yeah I've been through Detroit airport, it's pretty cool. I think it's the longest terminal in North America (or even the world?! I forget). There's a monorail thing that goes down the terminal, loads of food places and shops. I liked it. There's a little music section as well, with the city having such a rich music history.

Hmmmm. Ive flown Delta into Detroit from LHR, and it felt a bit like Birmingham Airport......different terminal possibly?

Or as I read recently in a "no Heathrow expansion" article, London Birmingham Airport......
