    VALUE FOR MONEY
    GiGi's Cupcakes Groupon - $10 for 6...2 locations.

    http://www.groupon.com/deals/gigis-cupcakes-3?c=dnb&p=1

We had vouchers for GiGi's previously and they are really good...very frosting-centric...but very good...almost too much frosting even for me (my husband never believed there could be such a thing).
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Thanks both for the replies :) I was going to ask about recommended web sites and courses. Also I will be playing on my own will this be a problem? Can the OH come for a stroll / drive in the buggy?

We book through golfnow.com and have had some excellent rates for various courses. With regards to playing on your own they usually try and put you with someone, when my OH and Dad go they have always had someone (usually a local) put with them to make a 3 ball.

My eldest (13) sometimes goes with them to a course called Black Mountain just to ride in the buggy and feed the critters that are out early morning. The course sell bags of food ($1) for them. Its a rubbish course apparently but they enjoy the wildlife...So your OH should be ok to go but you can always check before hand.

Not sure which course they rate ( I dont take that much notice!) but can ask them.

As for buying clubs my OH bought some from the Callaway shop ( near Town Square) years ago when the exchange rate was good but don't think they work out much cheaper these days.

We usually go in August so its HOT they try to play early morning but have also played midday/early afternoon as rates are really cheap then, mad dogs and Englishmen and all that!:)
There are plenty of water stops around the courses....

We play at Angel Park, but there is also a municipal course called Las Vegas golf club up on Washington which is quite a bit cheaper than elsewhere. Almost everywhere you play you will need transport. If you are going in the summer you need to start about 7am because by 10am it will be too hot. If you don't mind the heat play after 11am and you will get twilight rates. As for buying, how are you going to get them home, they will be too big for for your case, that's if you buy a driver of course lol. Angel park used to rent clubs for free if you showed them an airline ticket, give them a ring. You will need plenty of balls as well, or play more control than power because there is no ruff on most courses, they are trying to preserve water so replaced the ruff with rock!! If you don't hit the fairway your ball will bounce into Arizona.
Also you will probably not be playing on your own, they do tend to put people together upto 4 ball. Your wife will be OK to ride in your cart with you FOC. Carts are always included in the round cost, you will not walk a 6,000 yard Vegas course carrying a bag in the summer!
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Just received my hotel voucher this morning from Virgin Holidays for the Cosmopolitan and under hotel notes it states 'Breakfast Promo' so I am hoping that it includes the free breakfast even though the promo wasnt on when we booked.
