    #14 £1559/£9650 16.15%
  • Thanks for the eBay advice... 20 items scheduled to start next week, with a pile of clothes still to get through! Yippee for scheduled listings :) This is a fab distraction from my mountain of uni work! x

Oh dear! I think DH is finally starting to take this dfw challenge seriously. Today is dress down day at work and we all pay £1 (to chariteee) for the priviledge. However DH has for the first time ever, come dressed as usual. His reasoning - "We can't afford both of us to do it." This from the guy who's just booked 2 nights away for £80 with his overdraft!:rotfl::rotfl:

I reckon he just wanted to wear his new pants that, at last, fit him ;)
    Hahaha!

Weekly challenge is going ok, have managed 3 working days of packed lunch :) Todays was quinoa with butter fried onion & mushroom, and boiled thinly sliced carrot, small pieces of broccoli and peas mmmmm. I ate all of it and then ran my finger round the bowl to get every last bit of it out haha! As quinoa is a protein it'll keep me full and it contains loads of energy that I can already feel doing me some good :)

Thanks for the advice on scheduled listings, I might do this and then get it so it all ends on Saturday. I always end up with my listings ending hours apart.

Very inspiring to see how everyone's getting on. I've been checking balances on accounts and working on a new budget. strangely exciting rather than depressing which is what I was expecting. Maybe becauuse it feels like I'm finally taking control of this debt and doing something about it?
Starting balance has gone up, but hey ho, at least I know exactly what's going on instead of sticking my head in the sand.
Paid some cash into my overdrawn account today. For some reason the machine doesn't accept £5 notes, so paid in £10 less than I'd planned. Never mind, will try again next week.
    So..... update as follows:

    #159 150/19328
Lost 38.5 lb with SW so far, 56LB to go!:A

Forgot to say, please add me to the weight loss challenge, need to lose 42 llbs.
Doing well on this week's challenge, loads of food in fridge, freezer and cupboards. Ran out of milk, made the kids eat toast instead!:)

Sorry if I'm being dim about ebay.. How is it good to schedule listings for the future, does it mean that I activate listings when there's a free day? I've got loads to get rid off, so I'd like all the help I can get!:D

I'm listing stuff now but scheduling it for next week, so I can go in on sunday and quickly activate them all. I have the time today to sit and list stuff, but I know I won't over the weekend. It's taken me 2 hours just to do one lot, I'm now starting on the pile of clothes :)

ETA: Someone mentioned above it's free listing this weekend... but you do get 100 free listings per month if you start at 99p or less.

Does anyone know how it works for free listings and the 100 listings? If I have say 150 items, if I list 100 this weekend at 99p will I then get charged for the extra 50? I have a whole host of bras and baby clothes to photograph

if you list at 99p it will come off your 100 free listings, if you list over £1 on a free listing day I dont think there is any limit on how many you can list. I would start them all at £1 (or more if they are worth something) until it starts trying to charge you then switch to 99p listings, if it doesnt charge you for the entire 150 then you still have your 100 99p free listings left :D

  • #143 - Paid £670 / 16600 This month from my total.

Can I ask. Do we just show how much we have paid off or keep a running total when we update the figures? and does the OP work out the %?

New to all this but will be a great motivational tool..... and no debts from Christmas. woo hoo
