I dont know what to do!!! Had the benefits man round as ive had my letter through for my ESA (HRM, LRC) and he thinks I have a good case for MRC BUT, there is no guarantee that should I appeal, I would keep what ive got  He said he cant remember anyone having their award lowered through appeal, but that still doesnt mean that it cant be done as they do look at the entire application again :( So do I stick with what i've been awarded or do I try for the mid rate care and accept there is a slim chance of ending up with no care award at all?

Jemma, do you REEEEEEEEEEEALLY want a bacon buttie ;) if so, get out ya pit and get down the bakers before they run out of bacon :rotfl:

EDIT: well done ruby!! :T :T first one over the debt free line

I really wish I could help you decide Jakes-mum but I haven't got a clue about care. :( It would be pretty carp of them to take away all your care award and it would be highly unlikely and you could probably get it back on appeal if the worst did happen...? :o

Actually, I didn't want a bacon butty badly enough so still in my "pit" :D Did find a Galaxy Ripple in my bag though, probably not the most nutritious breakfast I've ever had admittedly... :rotfl:

Does anyone know how banks work out the interest rebate for paying off your loan early? I understand how the interest charge works but not how they calculate the rebate...??? xxx

Hehe good to be at the top of the DFBX12 roll of honour - do feel like I cheated though because I had a year's head start :rotfl:

Anyway this afternoon I'm going shopping :o want something to wear tonight cos I'm going out with my sister for Yo Sushi then to see the Muppets movie and it would be nice to wear something that isn't falling to bits/tatty/doesn't fit properly!

Thanks for the words of support about my thief of a collegue..
I reported it to my boss he works at another site. This is now the 2nd report of money missing while she was present, as they cant prove it that she stole the money they can't sack her. They will now be keeping a very close eye on her now though.. There is no safe place to store my bag in work and since I dont drive to work I cant keep in the boot.. I have now transfered my money (what I have left) and my bank card, id card etc to a smaller purse that I can keep in my pocket. :money:

The worse part about it all was she is a immigrant like myself (I live in Europe now) and her race is know for stealing.. I am not at all racist but out of the 2 ppl it could have been it seems like she was the most likely to steal the money. Hopefully I wont have to see her or work with her again, she was only there for yesterday and today covering someone else.. Glad I dont need to work till later on today. :j

Heres to a great day in work and soo looking forward to the weekend when i get to do nothing for 2 days

  • How good a bacon butty are we talking? Crispy bacon, buttered soft white bread and tomato sauce dribbling down your fingers? Yeah I'd get up for that (I'd take it back to bed when I came home though!) :D

Soooooo *whistles nonchalantly* it's payday... points at signature... :grinheart

Ecellent stuff that, thats well inspirational to do that in such a short time

Payday for me next week and need to sort out a plan of attack

But to help I've decided to knock booze on the head for lent, and the general foreseeablefuture. I'm sure my wallet, liver and gut will be grateful for the rest

  • Well finally its payday YAY!– its seems to have been a really long and expensive month.

The good news is that all the DD’s have gone and I’ve managed to pay an extra £ 377.47 off our debts.

The bad news is that it’s been a really expensive month. The house insurance was due, 3 of my sister’s kids had birthdays, my DD’s birthday needed paying for (party is tomorrow) and I’ve had to get stuff for party bags etc. I’ve been really MSE & had a dig around the house, and bought items from our local market & ebay etc. I booked a riding party on a half price deal, and we’re eating at Pizza hut with kids eat free vouchers! I have spent sooo much less than normal, but its still been pricy.

The worst news is that our overdraft at the end of the month is £611.17 bigger than last month :shocked:so the net effect is pretty much zero this whole month.

I have forecasted our expenditure over the next few months & it’s all good. DH’s pay rise has finally materialised, most of the annual bills have been paid so I should be able to keep to my targets. However I have found cutting back quite depressing. We live fairly frugally anyway, but we do spend money on our kids so its hard to cut back on anything major without it affecting them (which I don't want).

    My new totals are

    #306 £1778.27/16779.81
