  • Oh dear problem on the MSE front. Dishwasher fused the house when I tried to turn it on. Thought well I just will have to do with out dish washer. 2 days later I realize it is full of manky stinky water
Have tried to bail it all out and cleaned what I can but don't know whether that is it. It is completely fitted into kitchen cupboards so I can't see any kind of drain. I am very un-DIY. Anyone any advice????

  • last yr mine packed up and I had to use a bowl and small cup to scoop it out. If you take the bottom tray right out and on mine it is a shiny silver filter near to RHS that you can take off. sorry that is the only way I got mine to empty. Had to have an engineer out. Have you tried turning off at the mains and turning on again to see if it resets?? HTH x

Hmmm re: cheating with this weeks challenge :p if your son is baking with your ingredients do you think that counts as you baking??? Although I wouldn't want you to go out and buy additional ingredients :) The idea behind this weeks challenge is to get people making food they'd normally buy, so yes if his food is edible then it can count :D

I've finally worked out what to spend my £55 rainforest vouchers on... an e-reader :) I was going to use it for buying food, but I need a marker for paying off 3 creditors in as many days. It only cost me £19.99 as I bought a refurbed one of the £149 one :D

  • Talking of son's Kerri, mine has put a great big dent in my debt payments this month, twice we have had the MUUUMMMMMM call in the last week, and we all know what that means, so on 28th a small payment will come off, but no where near were I wanted to be:( Hopefully next month things will be a little better, he says its for deposit for this years shared house, but not sure, I would have thought deposits not due until at least May:eek: we are still paying for this years house share until July, boo hoo. 1 more year, 1 more year:T
    Sealed pot (who knows?)

All debts paid in 2013 :T, apart from overdraft :(, now to tackle that:)

Tell him to get a job! I worked throughout the whole of uni, either supermarket or call centre to pay the bills. A few hours work each week will give him valuable work experience, even if it's not in his chosen field, and money in his pocket :p Anything that gives customer service experience, complaints dealing experience, and team work/leadership is great for a CV and good for interview conversation :)

  • He does have a bar job 1 night a week, his course is unfortunately very heavy going, but hopefully once he finishes he will be ok, usually very good at budgeting, much more than me and his dad, but likes his time off, and time out.

Oooh very well trained then :) maybe he can teach you a thing or two. I did think he probably had a job, most students do. I never worked in a bar :( I'd have spent less money if I had though

Well, I'm off sick again today. Tried to go in but just feel too rough. Besides I'm working from home so it's not like work loses out and at least I can't pass it on to any of them! On the plus side, I've finally been able to get some NSDs...

Hope you all have a fab MSE day xxx
