I tend to find using combinations of match/index/offset is faster than using h/vlookup (though more of a faff to put the formulas together).

Otherwise, have you thought about writing it in VBA and just running periodically so that the formulas aren't stored in the cells? (Don't know how familiar you are with vba but it's not too bad once you get the hang of it ;))

    H x

I think I know how I'm going to be spending my sick day... I've never used "match/index/offset", completely self taught so I know there are probably big gaps! I've used VBA a few times to correct Macros and things but there must be some free online tutorials out there for me to play with.

Thanks for the tips Helen :A xxx

I am however a little annoyed at my other flatmate. I was driving back to mum's on friday and said I'd give her a lift home, even though it is half an hour out of my way. Then she asked me to pick her up from a different place (adding another 20 mins:mad:) and when I got there she wasn't even ready on time (adding another 20 mins:mad::mad::mad:). All in all, taking her cos me an extra £10 and 1hr 45mins over the weekend, and she didn't even offer to pay towards petrol:mad:! Considering the journey is normally only 3hrs and £25 each way, that is quite a substantial addition. And then she had the cheek to assume she'd get a lift next time I drive home! I think I'll just say nothing for now, not offer again and if she actually asks directly then I'll have to say no.

HOW RUDE!!!!!! Stick to your guns hun as that is just cheeky and completely out of order! xxx

Having just at that I realise why I have felt so down, cleared £1,082 off this month! No wonder I feel drained!

:j:j:j:j:j Just think though, it's tough now but the sooner it's gone then the sooner you can spend the money (or save of course) on things you [STRIKE] want[/STRIKE] need :D
