I'm no good with databases, btw...
Neither am I, but I have to use Excel anyway as we don't have Access so need to find a way to use Excel like a database. I have tables of rates and I am currently using a HLookup within a VLookup to triangulate on the correct rate and Concatenates to go to the relevant country tabs and so the file is MASSIVE once you add in all the other calculations!!! I might just have to save copies on a shared drive but it's further complicated that the users are on our customer network which I don't have access to...New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

I tend to find using combinations of match/index/offset is faster than using h/vlookup (though more of a faff to put the formulas together).
Otherwise, have you thought about writing it in VBA and just running periodically so that the formulas aren't stored in the cells? (Don't know how familiar you are with vba but it's not too bad once you get the hang of it)

See now you should go on a date you share you love of office programs and formulas.
Morning everyone!
Busy few days, payday tomorrow and have £40 more then I though so waiting till I get paid tonight to put some more just incase!
Just a little payment No 149 new paid total amount is £5132.41 total paid off is 35.99%
Feeling very proud of hitting 35.99% Little more in the bank to throw at it tonight so might be on a head start for next month!0 -
Morning all, I hope you are all well. DorsetGirl I also love pancake day, especially when my flatmate is making them for me :j! I am baking brownies tonight, so that counts for this week's challenge.
No new debt busting for me, but I have been really good this weekend - mostly cos my OH wouldn't actually let me pay for anything! Its kinda funny to be fighting to get to the till first:rotfl:.
I am however a little annoyed at my other flatmate. I was driving back to mum's on friday and said I'd give her a lift home, even though it is half an hour out of my way. Then she asked me to pick her up from a different place (adding another 20 mins:mad:) and when I got there she wasn't even ready on time (adding another 20 mins:mad::mad::mad:). All in all, taking her cos me an extra £10 and 1hr 45mins over the weekend, and she didn't even offer to pay towards petrol:mad:! Considering the journey is normally only 3hrs and £25 each way, that is quite a substantial addition. And then she had the cheek to assume she'd get a lift next time I drive home! I think I'll just say nothing for now, not offer again and if she actually asks directly then I'll have to say no.:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. William Shatner

Has anyone BT before and had the same thing? Will it take a day or so to come off Opus?
It's ok DorsetGirl, I've had this before, it just takes a few days to clear and then will come off Opus xxxNew Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

 tesco bank you should be ashamed of yourselves! 4 more loan payments to go annnnnnnnnnnd
Dear Mr Jakesdad, To say thank you for being an existing loan customer we'd like to offer you an exclusive rate when you take out a new loan with us! You can use it on lots of frivolous spends that we have kindly listed for you here. We will pay off your paltry balance with your new loan and then take a fixed sum every month for a long long time. Oh just one little thing, you must borrow at least £1k more than you owe us, and to take advantage of our fabulous (in our eyes) rate you must borrow at least £7.5k!! (yes we realise this is way more than the £1k minimum we have mentioned in big writing in the letter, and to only borrow this £1k you'll be charged extortionate interest, but we are hoping you wont notice this)
I have filed it in the appropriate recepticle :mad:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000
