I have done quite well this week!
£470 on Ebay!!! Yeeeeeehhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
And £273 from PPI off a loan I paid off in 2005 double Yeeeeeeehhhaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
Unfortunatley this is all going off my rather urgent mortgage arrears so no total update for me!
What it has shown me though is that I clearly haven't been trying hard enough!!! Same again over the next few weeks but this time it will be going off my debt total!
HAVE THAT DEBT TOTAL!!!!!Trying hard...failing miserably

VW Campervan mum, I'm so glad she loved her new room, it sounds as though you've put a LOT of thought and love into decorating it and she will realise that this is more important than if you'd just bought things from a furniture shop. :A
Kerri, sooooo glad you've enjoyed your first day! Glad you don't have that commute every day though! There is only one 6.20 in a day for me and it's defintely PM!!! :rotfl:
Catmort, I'd definitely not go to the meal but maybe turn up later for drinks afterward? I'm doing this on Saturday to save me from a terrible meal costing £25 even though I wouldn't eat any of it so just popping down to see everyone after the meal's done. Plus as you know, I don't do family meals anymore... :rotfl:
Well, I've just got back from an evening in Liverpool to see some friends and loved it
One of them is my old housemate and he's a 3rd dan blackbelt, the other is a fitness fanatic and his lovely girlfriend was there. We had a really good catch up then I pumped them for information on which exercises to use for different "problem areas". You know the ones I'm talking about ladies! Arms, glutes etc... :rotfl: Well, I've now got so many exercises and stretches I think it'll take me 5 hours a day just to do these before I even think about going for a run or doing Pilates!!! I'm so excited though so I've written everything down and they have 13 online workouts that they've downloaded so they are going to put them onto disc for when I go back down on Saturday.
I bought a Balance Board from Agros today reduced to £4.99 as it's now discontinued but I had the code from the old catalogue and they still had a couple in stock. I have to tell you that it is FABULOUS!!! I looked up the exercises for it on a chiropractic website as I bought it to help my core stabiliser muscles as I sometimes get back pain when exercising. My ex housemate also showed me loads more as he's got a balance board too (although not a nice shiny blue one with a labrynth maze in the middle as an added puzzle). I've been on it for about 30mins today trying different exercises and I can really feel it's been working. I'll probably be walking like John Wayne tomorrow... :rotfl:
Well, last day off tomorrow before going back to work and I can honestly say that I DON'T WANT TO!!!! I love being off and just reading a book or exercising or cooking or going for a walk. I'm normally to tired to do anything so it's felt liberating.:(:( Don't make me go back please...
xxx
p.s. I'll do my updating tomorrow I promise, been a bad Jemma over past couple of days but I'm blaming my birthday and social butterflyness...New Debt Journey: Pay off £19,622.91 by 30th April 2015 :T

Wow, so much to catch up on! Just looked at the bank balance and no spare to go towards debts but at least I'm in credit (just)!!
We're on half term too, I'm self employed so lucky to be able to take the week off. The kids know we have £31 to spend on days out including parking (odd number I know but it's what was left in my purse from last week plus £25). so it was mcd yesterday for me and youngest, cinema this morning (£1.10 each), NSD tomorrow and cinema again thurs (£2.75 each as it's in 3D).
We're also going to be doing lots of baking, dog walking and my son's favourite, going to the library. Might also have to do the BIG petshop as that easily wastes an hour!
Hope this doesn't sound smug as I can assure you there will also be a horrendous amount of bickering, me shouting like a fisherwife, and stomping off to bedrooms!!:)
Good luck all!!Make £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020

Am feeling a bit...meh at the moment. We've bought our new bed, which was most definitely a need not a want, but our debt has gone up again, which is disheartening when I look at the figures.
Also, this month is, for some reason, a bit tight. I think I had to do a huge shop at the start of the month as we'd run out of the big stuff like loo roll, washing powder, pasta and so on, which all adds up. So we've spent our grocery budget for the month and still have two weeks to go.
I've got hubby and two of my kids birthdays next month and i'm trying to scrape together enough to buy them some pressies, but it's all looking a bit sparse at the moment.
And now the cat has an infected bite on his leg so I have to take him to the vets, which will be about £40, which I'm going to have to take from another "pot".
And it's half term and I wanted to take the kids out, but we can't afford it.
It's not dire, as I'm putting away money this month for our two (yes, I know!) holidays (which will be fab and I know how lucky we are to be going abroad twice in the next 4 months), so it's not like we're on the bread line, but I just find it all so tedious, counting every penny and having to consider even the smallest purchase so carefully.
I am well aware that not considering each purchase carefully is what got us in this mess in the first place, I really do.
Sorry. Just a bad moment, need a kick up the r-ear.Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0 -
Kerri - glad your first day went well
Catmort - this is a difficult one as there is potential fall out whatever you do. Could you try talking to her to explain your situation (moneywise) and asking her what she would do in your situation? I told my sister-in-law on her 50th that I couldn't go to the really expensive theatre trip as I didn't have the money (and I didn't even want to go see the show but didn't tell her that). She was 'off' with me for quite a while tbh but then sometimes she's like that anyway. However, now she's OK and knows I haven't got any money, so she's used to me saying that I can't afford things (e.g. another theatre trip in March) and so doesn't take offence anymore.

Sorry. Just a bad moment, need a kick up the r-ear.- I totally sympathise! But just think how good you'll feel when you've paid your debt off
- a lot of the time that's what keeps me going.
