I feel like such a failure cos I haven't managed to find anyone yet and my whole family are pressuring me to get married. I'd love to be married too but you need another person for that to happen!! It doesn't help that my younger sister has been married for 4 years!

I used to like the film Bridget Jones's Diary but now it just makes me cringe as I'm now older than she was and at least she got to marry Colin Firth and had Hugh Grant with his nice little tushy waiting in the wings! :rotfl:

Honestly I think all the singletons on here should meet up for New Years somewhere and have a blast! :DETA - on the next page I have apologised for excluding everyone who is not single in this, it was an honest mistake and I didn't mean it peeps...SORRY!!! :o:o:o:o:o:o I just meant going out for some speed dating kind of thing as a joke...I feel really awful about this... :o:o:o:o:o

It's funny though isn't it that they want you to meet someone and act like you actually want to be a permanent spinster, like you've chosen to be on your own like some sort of feminist suffragette (sp?) throwback?! My dad keeps harping on that I'll buy a house and be an old sad spinster with cats (actually I'm more of a dog person myself...). If I do then I'm training the dog to bite his bottom!!!! :rotfl: xxx

On a much brighter note, I'm in the middle of tidying/cleaning my room but am having a break after just eating my lovely lunch. I'm off out tonight for tea and afterwards am coming back to start my exercise regime... It's not intense, just making little changes everyday so I'll be far more likely to stick to it.
I'm also going to Liverpool next weekend for a Black Tie Do so the perfect occasion to wear my slinky black dress... ;) Watch out, cos here I come!!! :rotfl: xxx

Wouldn't it get really confusing though? You haven't been charged the interest on what you have paid? So while you are saving yourself money on interest, and your paid off total doesn't go up, your debt is still reducing?

uhoh, this isn't good, I'm confused that you're confused! :rotfl:

In my case, when I started this challenge it was with £16386 as at that date as this was the total debt owed at that point. This included loan values up to full term. For me, when I paid my loan off I owed to full term £3900 but paid £3400 for paying early. I personally didn't want to alter my total pledged debt amount as I owe £16386 when I joined. I decided to act like I paid off the total value of £3900 in essence wiping out the loan part of the £16386 therefore added £3900 to my paid off total against £16386 still.

It's entirely down to personal choice and whether the starting debt totals assumed a specific amount of interest charged on things such as credit cards which could then be altered? Mine were all fixed interests on my loan and c/c's are on 0% so I didn't have to worry about working this out luckily.

Hope this makes sense hun! :D xxx

Ah ok, so I guess it depends on what type of debt you have.... credit cards for example work out the interest as it goes along, but a loan you have the interest value up front!

Hi everyone. Quick update - just paid monthly minimum payments to credit cards so that is another £113 paid off debts. Total now is:
    # 234 £2586/£12424

Don't know how but have messed up totals some how when I check up on how much left to pay. Better start again with this total and will try to be more careful. At least it was only £46 out.

I don't watch romantic movies anymore, they give me unrealistic expectations!

Meeting up is a great idea! Although maybe not just the singletons?

Can I have a moan please?

So bored as it's a Sunday and with my client so can't even go out as he's watching Rugby :(

    It's a 5 week month so still 2 weeks to go :(

I have £20 in the bank as I have WAY overspent this month :( Work owe me 50 but it's like trying to get blood out of a stone with them :(

I feel so spotty and fat it's unreal :(

Generally having a very 'meh' end to the week.

    Thanks for listening :rotfl::)
    In debt no more!

Sorry :rotfl: I was just trying to clarify it to myself... none of my debt included interest (even my loan, as it was added monthly) so I was completely confused for a minute. Maybe that's why my assignments are always well under the word count, I'm tight with words :D

Sounds definitely a 'meh' day :( How long do you usually stay with the client? How long do you get off? Hope you feel more upbeat soon :)

I'm soooo sleepy! Fr33mans appear to have messed up my repayments as well, I've gone through my emails (they email when you pay to say thanks you've paid x amount), tallied it against the outstanding and yet they still seem to think I owe them more than I do, which is reeeeaallly confusing me. I'm probably going to have to call them up I think.

Anyway, had another payment through from fleabay although been too tired to list anything today, I know I'm being lazy :( I have the photos all ready to go though, just need to chip away each night I think.

Oh and I did have a good time last night, there were just 2 complete tools there that was all.

So according to my calculations I now only owe fr33mans £17.51 giving me a grand total of

    #005 £1855.32/£5030
