    Morning all!

Sorry I've been absent for so long, it has taken me nearly a day to catch up on the chat!

Had a mixed weekend debt-wise. I drove up to Middlesbrough on Friday afternoon and the boy drove from there to Edinburgh. The actual weekend itself was quite cheap cos the boy wouldn't let me pay for anything. I ended up keeping cash in my pockets so that when we were at the bar I could pay before he got his wallet out, but he caught on to that trick pretty quickly. Then he drove back to Middlesbrough on Sunday afternoon and I was supposed to be going straight home. But ended up in the pub watching more rugby so I stayed at his.

Up at 6 on Monday morning to drive back in time for work and and realised I'd left my car keys at my aunts house in Edinburgh :wall:. So we both had to take the day off work to drive up to Edinburgh to get the keys. Then got back to Middlesbrough to find the car had a flat tyre cos I'd parked it funny :wall:. We went to put air in it and he said it was really bald and I need a new tyre :wall:. Not sure how much the tyre cost, but made him promise to let me pay for it.

On the plus side, he did get on really well with my family and they all like him too. Shame his mother wasn't very impressed with me (tho he reckons she's always like that when she's drunk).

I'm married to a Middlesbrough lad, unfortunately, we just watched them lose to Sunderland in the FA cup.

Sometimes I get along better with his mum then he does, lol. She's a great mother in law.

I thought this article might help some people with this weeks challenge. It says to put a list on the fridge and put the empty items on there ready for the next big shop instead of popping to the shop for one item :)

My cheque still hasn't cleared which is annoying as I really wanted to pay off my loan today! Oh well, might have to pay it tomorrow (did I mention it is my birthday tomorrow... :rotfl:) so will be a great birthday present to actually own my car!!!

On a related note, my family are taking me out for a meal on Friday even though I said I wasn't bothered. I'm seriously going to sit at the bar and drink myself stupid as family get-togethers are always really stressful as my younger sisters don't like my older sister and my dad doesn't like my grandma... I feel like the bl00dy UN sometimes!

Thank you for your birthday wishes guys, 31 eh?! I'll be officially a thirty-something tomorrow

Happy birthday. It is my DD1 14th birthday too xx

  • I've increased our debt this week. :( But sadly it was an essential purchase. Our bed is about 10 years old and has finally given up the ghost, so we have a lovely shiny new one coming on Saturday :j I can't wait as I've been getting backache for the last 6 months from the old bed. I think it's worth the extra couple of months onto our DFD to actually have a comfortable night's sleep.

Happy birthday Gemma :-) hope you have a nice peaceful day and get to eat cake!!!

RO, defo worth it if you can't get a decent nights kip then there's no point doing anything else as without sleep the whole world seems darker.

Small debt repayment for me today as another fleabay item sold but I've not got on yet to pay it so will update later.

Last day in current job tomorrow and oh my how I cannot wait!!! Example of why I'm leaving: boss asks girl I sit next to a question we could both answer, I find the answer in 5 seconds and tell him, he ignores me and goes on her pc to get the answer taking him 60 seconds, he then repeats what I just said. What a w****r.

Had a fantastic start to the day, got e-mail about rolling over my last but one PDL, told them not too, but to take the entire amount out on the day, OMG that felt good:T Applied to Credit Union for small loan to pay off the last PDL, then they are all gone, and we will have over £400 per month to throw at my other debts, which include my overdraft, I am sooooo very excited:j I could burst.

Thank you so much for this site, you are all my saviours :T and great MSE friends;)
    Sealed pot (who knows?)
