Thank you for all your lovely birthday wishes (and cakes!) :A

My cheque finally cleared so I have just paid off my car loan 2.5yrs early saving me £400 in interest!!! :j This is a fab birthday already :D It's a lovely feeling to know that I've just wiped £400 off my total without having to pay it. I've also got enough left to pay an extra £160 off my credit card so will do that now BEFORE I go out...

I'm off to the Trafford Centre soon, taking my grandma for a day out cos there's a couple of bits I need and I really fancy a jacket spud with chicken tikki from the food court... mmmmmmmmmmmmm

OK, got to get ready so see you all later peeps and I'll let you know the lovely things I bought and more importantly, the things I put back! :rotfl:

That's fantastic news! Well done :j

cat have you tried putting your housekeys in the fridge? That way you HAVE to go to the fridge before you leave the house :) Although this could end up in embarrassing phone call to OH/hubby/locksmith to explain where the keys are if you forget them, but at least you'd never forget again!

You know what, an entire day on MSE for me today I reckon stuff doing work I have an entire 2012 frugal challenge to read through ;) Oh and I almost got the bus to the station this morning afterall, but I missed it so ended up having to walk afterall as farrrrr too cold to wait at bus stops.

I used to hang my handbag on the fridge door handle/leave it in front of the fridge. That always worked (and no embarrassing forgotten keys...!) ;)

We have a curtain over the front door for cold weather as there's a lot of glass and we peg notes to it so that you see it before you go out. Saved me from forgetting my lunch or letters to post etc on many occasions. Of course you have to remember to peg the note to the curtain.

It doesn't however stop you from getting to work with a packet of supanoodles (I put a note up to remember them) and no bowl to microwave them in. Yesterday I had to cook them in two drinking cups :o

Thanks guys, Kerri the keys are a good idea but I am then likely to lock myself out of the flat! I'm trying to think what I could put in there to remind me now...my hairbrush?! :rotfl: I wonder what my flatmates would think of that? I don't think they'd be too impressed with my handbag on it tho HelenPie
Although I did actually go to the fridge this morning, but I just got everything else out and not the tupperware...must've still been half asleep!

Happy birthday Jemma :D have a lovely day.

No debt busting today though I have sold 2 items on ebay :j the rest dont finish till sunday/mondaybutreally hoping I can make £50 soI can withdraw it without incurring the payp*l fee . . . do soooo hate giving them any more money than I have to.

Did have to shop today as we had no potatoes, parsnips, milk, meat or ham  spent a grand total of £19.60 (also had to pick up 6 bottles of water for DH as hes taken to buying them from garages when hes at work cos hes so hot  ) could have waited till the weekend but im really trying to cut back on the shopping trips tbh.

The person in front of me had a £6 of £40 spend for C0-op which looked like it cam eout of the paper  must have missed that so need to have another look so I can do a £40 stock pile shop on loo roll, meat and icecream (haagendaz is going on half price :D:D:D)
