I've had a very spendy and non-diet week so far, two lunches out and everything in the restaurant was very mayonnaisey or creamy. Tomorrow am determined to be a good ostrich.Long haul supporter #290POAYDBX2014 #043LBM Dec 2011 Debt £51K Debt Nov 2014 £42K0

Sorry R-O and anyone else
It's easy to get carried away and not think about the consequences!
No debt paying for me at the moment... had to shell out £70 for the doctor yesterday plus £11 on more pills. Eurgh. Now it looks like my ear might ruin a girls holiday we been planning to book for 6 months as we are due to go somewhere on 26th feb but if my ear is still playing up then I'm restricted to the UK instead of a nice hot beach!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

I still haven't managed to do meal planning yet and have been going to the shops to get just what I need which has been working ok as I have an aldi right by me. I should do a big shop though as I have a £5 voucher from last weeks Sun so maybe I should bite the bullet and combine challenges. Lists at the ready!0

I'm off out for tea every night this week until Monday! I'm also off work on Thursday until next Wednesday and I'm soooooo excited!!! I have a limit though so don't worry, I'm not going to risk my total! I won't have to pay for any of the meals though as it's my birthday weekend...! xxx
Ohhh have a fabulous birthday....yippeee for birthdays!! xx:j0 -
Just a quick update. I am planning to pay off an extra £250 before the end of this month but I am finding it really difficult to pay off this amount in one go (I've already paid £250 this month) so I'm staggering it over a couple of weeks. £50 today:

I'm finding all this bingo/gambling chat really difficult to read, lots of people on this forum have run up huge debts gambling, and whilst I know you are all being sensible, I think that it's a really dangerous thing for some debt-free wannabes to read about. I believe there is a separate section on the forum for matched betting and free gambling..........I know I'm probably a little over-sensitive, but a friend of mine killed himself after running up gambling debts and I know how insidious an addiction it is.
R-O goes back and hides in her corner........
Sorry R-O (and others). You're right. I was feeling bad about being off thread but hadn't thought about how others may feel about the subject in general.:grouphug:

I seem to be going backwards with debt payments this week. After the car repairs, OH's 'unautorised withdrawal', and the new taps for the bathroom, my outgoings are more than my debt payments
Also i've been consciously making the obvious mistake of having debt and building a savings pot for the wedding. I did this for the comfort of knowing I have the money to pay for it, and also for the ease of tracking my debt repayments (if I clear the cc with savings, it's going to look great but then deteriorate as I have to make payments). But with my monthly interest at about £95, I'm going to have to get my head around a way of monitoring the two separate pots (debt/savings) whilst combining them for the interest savings. Think I'm going to imagine it like a mini offset mortgage, if that makes sense....
The other tough part will be knowing that I can't cut my credit card then, and I will have to trust myself not to spend on anything but the wedding/essentials:jDebt Free By Xmas 2013 #010 £16,660.26/£16,660.26 100% paid, DFD 25/06/13!:j0
