Just one question Eddi :) I've just put in my figures for PPI cheques... but the monthly repayments to be debt-free by Xmas didn't change? Is there any way to get it to update automatically or would I need to change my original starting figures on each sheet? Thanks :D

Gahhhhh lloyds haven't frozen my interest like they said they would so now I'm paying them £12 a month, they're reducing my OD by £12 a month, then charging me £10 how on earth do they think that's OK? It'll put me over the OD limit next month :( Snotty phone call coming right up

Thanks Eddie, oh and in no way do I think gambling is ok. I bet my stake then withdrew and didn't continue after I'd met the requirements :)
woo hoo thank you just played £10 stake drawn out £50 and £20cashback if it pays out:j

I worked for L@dbrokes for about 10 years and experienced first hand the effects of gambling on some people. Betting to your fixed limit and walking away afterwards whether up or down is the only way.

I did Gala too last night. Bet my £10 stake and came out with £34.20, so £24.20 up plus cashback if it tracks. I got quite exctited when I was one number off a £100+ full house a couple of times :rotfl: Withdrew all my winnings so that can go towards DF by Xmas balance when I update it next.
  • Quick question as my head is confuzzled.... I rang halicarp to close my account and they offered me 13 months at 0% balance transfer with a 3% charge.

My current outstanding cc is b@rclaycard totalling £1986.51. £1168.51 of this is at 0.561% monthly as it was a previous BT and the rest is at 1.941% monthly.

Should I BT to Halicarp? I can only send about £900 to it, but now banks have to pay off the highest first, that should mean in theory my remaining balance on BC is all at the lower rate?

I'm not planning on making many pads to it for the next few weeks as I need to pad to savings for covering shortfall in wages over next couple of months.

    Thank you! :)

    Hi psychobabble.

It really depends on how quickly you intend to pay it off and how much is at each rate. It probably is worthwhile but I couldn't say for sure without the details. If you don't mind posting/pm-ing me then I am happy to help with the calculations :)

    Helen x

Sorry - just seen that you did say how much was at each...still heavily dependent on monthly repayments, i.e expected time to full paid x
