  • Oh, one AMAZING thing is that for the first time in I can't remember, our debt is below £10k! Nice to be in single figures of thousands!

Keep going everyone, I feel so happy for everyone when I read the progress on the first page. :)

Anyone else scared of leaving themselves short when it comes to payday?! I have paid off some today and DDs etc will come out tomorrow but still scared that I have forgotten something and it will need paying! Only have £46 left to pay off my credit card so I am hoping to have that down to 0 by the end of the month :)

Night in alone for me, just me and the kitten... Bf working as he's a workaholic! Biggest loser and early to bed I think! Xxx

Wish I'd been able to pay more this month, but at least I'm heading in the right direction, onwards and upwards!!

Rd I panic about this all the time, for something unexpected. I've looked at my future upcoming spend out and have got to get the euro's in the bank otherwise I am £9.08 short till I get any CSA monies in! I cheat a little by sending the council tax in chunks.

I know I have to pay £169.00 each month but by paying in stages, slap on the hand for being behind, that way I have a buffer!

P.S. I think this MSE thing has really got to me just got excited that the tv licence is 6p less then I planned in my spreadsheet!

Sod it.......I have paid another £56.94 out. Brings my total too:

    #4 £1876.94/£13,876.93

I did this purposefully to get me under £12k (£11,999.99) which is for the first time in 7 years!!!
    In debt no more!

evening gang, lots of debt busting today! Well just bought the dryer online from appliances online, husband transferred an extra £30 across so once I can put the Euro's back into pounds and into the bank some more debt busting to do! hurray.

Kerri, you made me chuckle with your planning! Had a wander round comet and saw a Beko which I've never heard of before then started ogling slime line dishwashers and fridge freezers. Think that may be on the purchase list once I'm debt free.

I've also just realised that the fridge freezer is over 9 years old! Not bad for two under the counters stacked on top of each other! Right better update my spend diary and see what else I can throw money at this month. Going to aim to hit 37% this month
"Slime line dishwashers" -now there's a thought :rotfl:!

Seriously well done on your debt busting!!

Don't it might be an improvement on the washing up I see in our house some days! Oh ps on more hair brain money making idea's I was shocked to see Quality street tins in Schipol airport in Amsterdam. I'm talking about the big tins everyone buys at Christmas and then we feel guilty for overeating them!

Take a guess at how much they were retailing for?

    Hi everyone!

I appear to have missed over a week of this thread...guess that's some bedtime reading for me then!

Finally payday after 7 weeks! So to celebrate, I've been to Costco and got the month's meat and a load of veg for some soups. Thanks to my extra pay for work, I've also got rid of an entire debt and am very close to being under the £37,000 mark. Am hoping to get under this before the next payday, but I go on holiday in March so need to keep around £250 from this pay and from my Feb pay so that I have enough spending money :)

    Anyway, my current total is....

    #30 £848.22 / £38028.13

Only another £37179.91 to go :)
Deleting everything to make sure MoneySupermarket don't get any of my personal details to sell to following Martin's sell out move :money:
