Well Jan nearly over already and my ebay plans are way behind. I get so distracted. However ive partially created my etsy site now for all the vintage stuff i have to sell plus handmade thing once they are ready. I promised id do the 100 listings a month so far ive listed 6! so im determined now that by Monday i will have listed 60. Thats 15 a day. Hold me to that people. Im getting back in habit of putting bills on a later to do pile and not dealing with them because i dont have the money yet. So today im gonna make at least 2 phonecalls to get started...debt free is gonna be a little painfull but i so want it.. >annoyed at self0

Hooray! I have made my first target. It's actually been a lot harder than I thought it would be. Hoping this month won't be as tight. Managed to buy the presents I need for this month with topcashback amazon vouchers

Wow its taken me ages to catch up with the thread, note to self don't miss 2 days!
Looks like everyone is doing great, I haven't paid anymore debt off as I'm waiting till the end of the month to see what's left in our account. I Think this is the best January we've every had, normally we are running low on cash and struggle to get through the month but thanks to our NSD we are doing ok, touch wood....
We are off out next week for a meal with friends as its my birthday, so I'm holding a budget and I'm hoping my OH doesn't buy me anything on the CC, I've told him I don't need or want anything so hopefully he will listen.
Ebay listing this weekend for me and I have also looked on both zapper and musicmagpie so will be sending some cd's off too.
Kerri I did the cashback thing with a gambling site at Christmas for the first time and it tracked within a day, it was with quidco and the site was Caesars bingo and its just confirmed today (£40 off my debt when its banked)I will stop spending on things I don't need

Its terrible that you are having to pay for it yourself but if it means that your son will get the support he needs it will be money well spent. If only for his self esteem. It made me realise that a lot of my 'quirks' are dyslexia related and that made me feel much better.
Have you contacted your Education Auth or have you just been through the school?
AH thanks, yes it is his self esteem that is worrying me the most, we are constantly telling him he is clever and wonderful but he just seems so sad. Did contact the lea they said it's a long wait. Hopefully if I am armed with a report from specialist the school will have to help him.
Hope you don't mind me asking, I am just learning and reading up about Dyslexia but does it effect your short term memory at all ? He seems to struggle a lot with this, yet can recount every little detail of an event from years ago.0 -

My boyfriend had severe dyslexia, he hides it though as he is embarassed but he does have trouble remembering things. However, he defied most of his teachers opinions and went on to uni completing a business degree which included a year in Germany. He got a 2:2 whilst running two bars and a nightclub. So with the right support and encouragement, your son can achieve whatever he wants!Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16Became homeowners 26.02.16

I too have Dyslexia, my mam struggled to get anyone to take her serious at school and it wasn't until I went to Uni that I got tested and after years of thinking I was stupid, it was confirm it was Dyslexia.
It does effect people in different ways, some people have problems with numbers and words or just one. With me its words and sometimes its the words I spell everyday, like 'People' etc. I'm sure once your little boy gets tested then this will make him feel more at ease. I wish I could advise more on how to make him feel more happy and build his self esteem, I do work with young people with low self esteem but again it depends on the child. Well done on making a stand, he's very lucky to have a mam like you :-)I will stop spending on things I don't need

I did mine yesterdau and its already showing as pending so im hopeful
My Dh and 2 nieces on his side all have dyslexia, DH has terrible problems with letters and even I am surprised when I try to get him to sound a word out how he gets to the letters he thinks are in there  But he has a superb lateral mind, you can give him a vague idea of something you want built and he will go off and build it  the most impressive being when we worked together at a plastics recycling company and we had a granulator thats mouth was 6ft off the ground. All the boss said was 'we need to figure out a way to feed it safely' and Dh went off and built a platform out of metal cages complete with safety rail and sliding opening to load 1/2 ton bulk bags through
I always thought if he'd had the support at school he would have gone into some sort of engineering / construction work, but they labelled him stupid and sat him at the back of the classSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000
