Hi chums I have a clapped-out celery and some soft tomato's in my possesion at my DDs and am thinking I can turn them into soup of sorts rather than let her bin them, the toms are small cherry ones and the celery is just a wee bit bendy. She has onion and stock cubes and I need inspiration or I can see them being chucked out0

This recipe is very nice: http://www.soupsong.com/rveloute.html
Quite forgiving too. Using a mix of celery and tomato should be fine.
I normally add about half a litre of chicken stock and, more often than not press the solids through a sieve with the back of a ladle instead of whizzing. Adding cream is good - but if you don't have any the soup is still really nice.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
