hmm have just checked the bank and i have about £15 to last me until the 20th of next month!!!! eeeek, its ok, there's nothing I need I will pay for the battery out of OHs account its just not giving into temptation or the CC!
I need to save up about £1250 to start up my business!!!! As well as trying to save up for my OU courses which is another £2700, and at the moment I get £512 a month smp, thats until july and have £800 worth of CC and overdraft to pay off!!! now im no brain of britain but even i can work out there is quite a large shortfall!!
£1250
£2700
£ 800
=£3750 to find:eek:
my outgoings are:
£10.50 phone
£06.50 union
£20.00 petrol
=£37.00
So £512 SMP -£37 = £475
so if i take another £25 out for spends
that leaves me with £450
i get SMP until the end of may, so 5 months, which =£2250
only £1500 to find then
ok ok before I start to panic I can take some off.
1500
-£100 payment to go out for this month for cc
-£200 which is the overdraft
-£250 worth of stuff to sell on ebay, hopefully
So thats £1000 left to pay...... ok on that note think I need to go through and sort out my clothes to ebay!!!!
By the way if you're wondering why my outgoings are so low Im lucky enough that OH pays all of the bills for now, so my money is my own as such. But for the priviledge I have the heartache of him being away 8 months of the year
But if I can make a go of my business and make good money, then he could cut his days down!!!!!
sorry about the ramblings and this probably doesn't make any sense but I just needed to write it all down!
So ideas on a post card of how to make £1000!!! I have until July when I have to decide if I'm going back to work!!0 -

Just a thought, always worth getting your name out. Do you have a local wedding photographer you could give a business card/pictures with? (I used to work for a wedding photographer, so know the industry)
Or Birthday parties, even if you do some friends first, see if you can get other people interested.Total at 9th Feb 12 - £17,500  Now - £6,851.05Loan - £6022.05, [STRIKE]Card 1 - £3293.85,[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Card 2 - £2287.04[/STRIKE], Sofa - £825.00Wedding Pot - £0.00

I think I took Poppy swimming first time about 10 weeks. She wasn't too sure to start with but loves it now, she is a right water baby. Haven't took her to lessons but if you can find some reasonably priced sounds good!
I could do with some tips on making money too. Going to search for things to ebay.0 -
            Shiney new Diary, Missy!
The goals sound achievable and realistic, setting up a new business is very exciting and certainly managable with little Roo in tow. I'm sure you will find the extra money somehow, maybe you can even ask your OH to help out?
Anyway, happy new year, I am babysitting tonight and there is no telly, thankfully I brought my laptop with me!0 -
Ways I intend to live frugally:
shop in aldi, if a few things are cheaper in tesco go once a month not once a week to limit temptation.
To drive more carefully to conserve fuel and carefully plan trips to tie in lots of visits
Dont even go on ebay to look at the pretty dresses!!
cook from scratch
send emails rather than texts all the time. espec picture msgs!
use the oven to cook more thn one thing at once
turn lights off when i leave a room
no magazine or book buying (i barely read a mag if i buy it, just flick through, such a waste! And I have about 50 unread books!
Take washing out of the machine as soon as its finished and not leave it in there to get all foisty over night so it needs rewashing!
dont waste food!
stop turning the heating up 19degrees is warm enough!!
I know a lot of these things sound obvious, but at the moment I don't do any of them!!0 -
hey wendz, i will investigate whether i can take roo or not, would love too, might wait a little while though, dont think they do swimmers small enough, size 1 nappies are still rather on the big side. Am currently feeding roo, but I'll race you to find ten things to ebay when ive finished if you like?
OMG kavics, no tv!!! What you going to do with yourself all evening? Mind you saying that my TVs off!, i've got the radio on. And OH could help out you're right, but Paying for my ou and setting up my business are things i really want to do myself, nice thought though

Some good things to be frugal there, I think my main spends are on food so think I am going to write a meal plan and get the things for that to try and waste less food.I find myself going to sainsburys about 4 times a week to get more bits which we prob don't always need.
You can get a my first swim kit with the smallest size nappies, think they are 8lb up. You get about 6 nappies and a towel. Think I only took her 4 times in those size as have 2 left and am on the next size now, trying to take her more often now. My friend i met at baby group goes weekly so trying to go at the same time.
I need to get in my room to find things to ebay and Poppy is asleep (for once haha) but might well have a look in the next couple of days.0
