Thought I would start a new diary with the new year.
For those of you that have been spared my other diaries, I'm 30 been married 18 months and have a 6 week old bubba, who we affectionally call Roo. I am on maternity leave at the moment so I'm only on SMP which is not a lot
In the new year I am looking at making lots of big changes, I want to start my own business in the hope that I don't have to go back to my normal job, I'm due back in September, but I really can't bear to leave Roo, so starting my own business and working from home is the answer. But I need money to set it up, and I need to pay off my credit card and overdraft too
So I am going to set myself some new years resolutions and some goals to help me get there, which I'll post up soon
Id appreciate any help, advice or encouragement you can give me, it's going to be tough and I'm going to need all the help I can get!

arrrgggghhhhh in between thinking of my goals and resolutions, I thought I'd nip to tescos as have very little milk and I'm a right tea monster, and...... the bl00dy car wont start!!!!!! OH has just gone away for 2 weeks, and something always goes wrong!!!!! Have no idea whats wrong with the car, sounds like the battery is flat when I try and turn it over but I have lights and radio etc!!!! God knows, I know nothing about cars! Really hope its not something expensive, think we've got aa cover, have just emailed OH to see if he can ring me, but I don't think he'll pick his emails up for a few hours!!!! Well i guess it saves me the money i would have spent in tesco!0

My car did similar thing, i.e. sounds like battery but lights were still working etc.....eventually we tried to push start it and it went. Gave it a little distance pushing it and then turned the key keeping car in 1st...it started after a couple of gos and then I had to take it for a good 15-20 drive to give it a boost....hope this helps????0 -

Hi again missy!
I'm loving that we both had diaries during pregnancy and turning 30 and now new diaries for the start of 2012 with new bubbas!
Any news on the car? They really are a cash drain! But as you say, stopped you spending in Tesco! Problem for me is that I can walk to a huge Tesco, worst thing about maternity is I can pop over on a daily basis!
So, how's the resolution thinking come along? What's the plan for the business? I'd love not to go back to work, especially as nursery fees are over £600 a month. Sigh.
How is Roo doing? Is he sleeping through yet? Eating well? (And all the other questions people ask me all the time! :rotfl:)
Anyway, good luck for 2012, happy to be along for the journey again!
xxWandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
hey chocaddict nice to see ya hun, thanks for that, i know i could prob get it started but i think it must need a new battery, OH managed to phone so going to ring the aa tomorrow, just another expense we could do without and im without a car!!!
Thanks mandz starting a business is something ive wanted to do for ages, rather scary though!
Hey fellow new mummy loumac
am working on the resolutions, but Roo keeps whinging, so typing lots one handed is a problem at the minute, hes currently consoling his tummy ache with sucking his fist, bless him. He's doing really well, not even close to sleeping throught the night, he feeds about every 2.5-3 hrs in the night. I think hes eating well, seems to be eating a lot at the moment, HV is coming next week so she will weigh him. How's your little one?
Gosh Im glad I dont live that close to tesco Id be in there every day!
Right must get on with writing my resolutions...... erm think I need to change a nappy first!!!!!0 -
good luck missymoo. What sort of business are you wanting to set up?As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again0
