Trolling aside I thought I'd come back and update this thread with a message I received both via PM here and via email from Andrew Fouracre at the Cooperative Group. The voucher was issued in nine fashion & home stores located in various areas of our trading territory, with a view that they should be redeemed in the issuing store. I think our falldown was the absence of the terms on the voucher, and by not sharing the details of the voucher with the food store estate. It’s unsurprising that the food store colleagues were unaware of the voucher and how it could be redeemed, as we had only provided details of the vouchers that were valid in food stores to food store colleagues and the fashion & home vouchers to fashion & home colleagues.
As you rightly point out, the main flaw is in the production of the voucher, as had it stated where it could be used it would have saved a lot of frustration and possibly the forum entry.
You’re right – the vouchers must be clearer in future and we’ll ensure that they are.
So well done Co-Op! Hopefully more clarity with future vouchers and a great result all round. And many thanks for the replacement voucher which I can redeem in my local store!0 -
Nice one OP and, possibly a result for other shoppers as the co-op will, hopefully, make their staff aware of what they're doing, in future!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Hmm...good start, but hardly well done until they either allow you to use the voucher in line with the terms printed on it (apart from the expiry date which only expired because they didn't accept it), or issue you a replacement that can be used.0

Trolling aside?
Who can he be talking about?
Hope the £5 was worth all the effort it took to get it sorted.Don't grow up. Its a trap!

She.
And yes, the £10 voucher the Co-Op sent was very much worth the effort of one post and one email0 -

Oops.
Yes it is always good to get more than you spent back as compo.
I had an issue a while back with OOD pet food from Pets At Home and got replacements/£10 cash for petrol AND a £5 gift voucher. Result!
Good result. Pleased for you. Genuinely.Don't grow up. Its a trap!
