Morning :hello:
1 more AFD Mari, meaning I achieved the Full Monty this week after failing last week.:D and have done 5 days straight AF.
At the moment I have no plans for the weekend which raises the possibility of an AF weekend....we'll see what crops up.
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Right, disaster of a holiday over, back to complete mayhem and chaos. Work didn't leave me alone to chill out neither did life.
sorry Missrlr you didn't deserve that

At his worst my DH was drinking a case of 12 bottles of beer a night and a whole bottle of red wine. He had a budget of £500 for petrol and beer and quite often exceeded it which is one of the reasons I'm on MSE site!
At the end of June he had to just stop drinking full stop, it just couldn't carry on. So he's now 2 1/2 months.
WOW!
2 and a half months is greatYou must be feeling quite rich. Long may it continue.

Can i join up, I downed three quarters of a bottle of wine last night, most of it hidden from DH. I love the taste of wine, but after 2 glasses it isn't for the taste it's for the alcohol.
Forgive me AA-ers but I've walked past where the local AA meeting is, and was scared off by the 2 guys outside. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Reporting another day for me.
Welcome to satchmo and open screen. Keep on posting, even if it's random, it really helps to keep yourself aware and vigilant. As cuppatea said, we're a very open and non judgemental lot here.Trying to keep in budget.

Most of us are really nice and always extend a very warm welcome to newbies.
Try walking past a different meeting.
Good luck.

Welcome satchmo, please dont be put off AA.
If you call the local helpline AA number they will put you in touch with someone who will either go with you to a meeting or meet you outside. If you do go alone just introduce yourself, you will be made very welcome.
I dont think I would ever have gone in alone, but I had spoken to a lady on the phone and she met me outside.Over 9 years later she is one of my closest friends.
When I go to a meeting away from home I look for a group of people laughing, chatting and smoking,it is usually a good clue I am in the right place.Sobriety delivers everything Alcohol promised.
