last night was another one for me.

had a very small civilised glass of wine in a nice bar in Paris tonight. I must admit I do like their attitude to having small glasses of very good wine and not going mental.

 hope you're having a really good time evilsquid. I believe the little glasses are called Paris goblets. Very apt and very tiny like 100 or 125 ml a glass. Enjoy!

    Good afternoon all

Sorry I've not been on for a few days. Read last couple of pages of posts and its made me feel very ashamed. MrsR and gardenanna, my OH must feel very much like you do....fed up of me and not sure why I do it??

The other night I managed to drink two bottles of wine. This was on a school night and for no other reason than that they were there. I was horrendously ill the next morning and had to call on my Dad to take Piglet to school AND to pick him up. I missed work, losing money in the process (which we can ill afford).

I feel extremely ashamed and not sure where to go from here. My OH has been incredibly supportive....but I don't think I could have been if the situations were reversed. I know I would feel disgusted that my partner could get into such a state.:(

I guess I seem to be going round in circles and getting nowhere.:(

    Miss P
    xx

Oh Miss P take heart from the fact you realise what is going on and i hope you find the courage to move forwards.
have you considered no booze in the house especially during the week? Would your OH support this? Can you Tell him your plans and get some day to day back up with this? I am sure when you break the cycle you will be on a roll.
Hope Piglet was OK with you being poorly and him having to be in school all day not knowing if you are ok. Hugs to both
It's a new week (well if you are on the Muslim week that is) so lets go forward.
Not AF today but planned glass of wine with friends over lunch so not bad.

Bearacus - I'm just enjoying going somewhere different - I'd been a member of a tennis club for 7 years, and got into a rut, and I'm not particularly good at tennis either!

Miss P: - Don't worry, that was just a blip - I get these every so often too, then hate myself so much for days. It's as though every so often I have to drink loads of wine like letting off a pressure valve.

:grouphug: don't worry, it's the one step forward, two back sort of thing. It happens and seems all the worse when we're trying hard to do the opposite. You've had lots of ups and downs along the way but you always return to cutting down. No one ever said that it's easy. Stick with it MissP and keep posting. Why not try the SNC this week?

Please put me down for the full monty, 4 for the SNC Bearacus.
