Hello everyone, lovely to see so many new people on the thread.
I got back from Tenerife last Friday - saw my Dad which was lovely (he lives there), it always makes me a bit sad - he's not very well at all now, late stages of emphysema and a multitude of smoking related illnesses and is now on oxygen a lot of the time - still manages his first whisky at 10am....some things never change.

Have been a bit wobbly since I got back so wanted to sort my head out a bit before coming on here. Very very pleased to say that I am now feeling brilliant :j. 74 days AF and 44 cigarette free now .
I think I was getting a bit depressed and had begun slightly manic eating - chocolate and sweets and about 10 - 15 apples a day - don't ask me why.....I have no idea :o
So am now on the Dukan diet - which is just proteins and no sugar. I feel quite relieved to have stopped eating constantly and am now learning to live with myself.

Just feeling very calm, spending time enjoying my children, reading and nice stuff. Hopefully lots of gardening this weekend :D.

Hope everyone is keeping well, (((Hugs))) to those in need, and well done everyone - this thread makes such positive reading.

Please could I have 31 days for March Shaggy - 9 AFDs so far :)

Just wanted to send happy vibes to Bearacus on holiday :)

Welcome back; I think you are an inspiration!!!:T:T:T:A
I'm finding it hard enough to cut down alcohol, lose weight and get fit, without throwing stopping smoking into the mix.
Hope to join you by gardening this weekend.:j
    Happy digging.:)

    1AF
Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life!
No buying unnecessary clothes even if they are reduced.

DH is away for the weekend so:one more for me please! enjoying having a nice quiet time. the bells only ring when he's here.

I'm trying to stay off booze until i go away in august now (or if by some miracle i actually manage to find a job, then I'm downing champagne without abandon). i drank a bit last week and it lead to me eating a load of rubbish and i put 3 pounds on in a week when I'm desperately trying to loose weight.

    Evening all

MrsR - thank-you, Im fine. Still dealing with family stuff - Mum very upset about her brother. He has been given 6 months and is going to live with his Son. Going to be hard on everyone :(

No advance on scores but am ok with it.....just spent night away with OH - late anniversary treat to ourselves. Went to a boutique B&B in Hamble and it was lovely!! Didn't want to come home, had a lovely time. Still...came back relaxed and happy :)

    Hope everyone is ok!!

Well after spending all afternoon yesterday spending money on my rental place because of icky former tenants I consumed a bottle of wine, and slept badly and feel blergh and have to spend the rest of the day completing the sort out of said house garden as tenant clearly was incapable of cleaning anything or properly disposing f anything

No booze tonight though even if I end up spending even more money on the place

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
