Hi lovely gang:A
I've just updated the front page following my mammoth update earlier and two more prizelets have been awarded to Keiss and oldestgnome for reaching their "in a row" targets.
Well done both:j:j:j:j:j:jThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Well I think 4 is pretty good considering you're new to the challenge so don't beat yourself up there at all.
Thanks chuck xsolventsoon wrote: »Regarding your rules, it really is up to you what spends you decide to target. For me, I count everytime I hand over money (c.card, d.card or cash) as a spend, but don't class DDs as a spend as they're already budgeted for. I had a terrible Tatco habit before I started this, was in there most days "for a few bits":o. This challenge has put paid to that and my finances are in much better shape because of it.
Yeah, we're trying to pay for everything with cash, or at a push the D card (we no longer have a c card) but I'm keeping a note of everything in my 'little book'.solventsoon wrote: »A lot of people on here wouldn't include a necessary spend as a spend so if you needed a stamp to post something urgent (like a cheque for a tax bill for example:eek:) then that would be OK.
Have a look at the post If puts up at the top of each page, that gives BigMummaF's thoughts on NSDs and there's another post from her a few pages back giving some more thoughts to a newbie.
Hope this helps

Hello
I've been seeing this challenge mentioned in signatures but have only just found where it lives.
I think it is quite a good idea and would like to try for 10 nsd's please, I have 3 already if I don't count needing the plumber last Wednesday, also I think that I better not count bus fares as with the problems I have I do not need to get into a mind set that I can't go out because I need a nsd.Can i join in with the challenge? i've been doing it by just lurking but its more fun to do it all together
Welcome to you both

NSD for me today, and I went to dog show, usually buy something, but resisted the urge, I spent yesterday making lots of goodies and freezing them, had large piece of beef bought at Mr A before Christmas in the freezer, thawed it made a beef stew, beef curry, and roast beef for today, yummy, good job I like beef, and found out on the site yesterday that L**L had 1/2 price meat, so popped there and got some bargains. Won't need to spend for at least 4 days now, yehhhhhh:jSealed pot (who knows?)
All debts paid in 2013 :T, apart from overdraft, now to tackle that:)

:jHello chaps and chapesses, NSD No.5 for me today - hoorah!! I feel like I'm back on the waggon, I didn't have the urge to spend today (I had accounted for my church offering in yesterday's spends, took it out of my purse'n'all
). Got to have plenty more NSDs from now on, as I got a call this afternoon to say that DD can start guitar lessons from week after next, at a cost of £7/lesson. Gulp. It'll be worth it, as I'm sure she'll enjoy it, and she does have a guitar gathering dust, but oh my, things are going to get "interesting" around here, what with dance, Rainbows (thankfully half price as I am a leader) and guitar lessons to pay for.
