    Evening folks:j,

Had a mega busy day at work and am not sure I'll have the energy to open a bottle of red, but will obviously have to find it from somewhere:D. I've yet to read the posts, but hope everyone is well. Declaring NSD5 for today please:beer:

NSD5for me. Its suprising how many "spend" days there are. This challenge has really focused the mind. It wont be easy to achieve the 25.

I know! I remember when I first started, I thought along the lines of "oh, I'm sure I don't spend that often" and then had a big  moment when I didn't manage very many:o
Good news, my sister (pipersky) won a holiday to the Scottish Highlands and has asked me if I would like to go with her. Well, it would be rude not to, wouldn't it, and I can't let her down, she's my sister :D:p:rotfl::j:beer: So, in case you are wondering, I said yes :T:T:T

Ahhhhh that's wonderful LMH ...... it's a really beautiful part of the world (and I'm not biased, honestly:p)

Well, just had a power cut here  - despite all my preparations I couldn't actually see anything to get to the torch (over the other side of the room:o) and my first thought was "oh no, the pilot light's not lit on the gas fire" - I hate leaving it on all the time and do tend to light it in really stormy weather (just in case) but I've honestly no idea why it went off tonight ...... still, thankfully back on now.

I also thought I'd be OK with the lappy as the battery is charged - totally forgetting that the router needs power to work:o

Needless to say, the 1st thing I did when the power went on was to light the pilot light on the fire in case it goes off again (if I disappear - you know why!) and the big torch is now at my feet!:)

evening all! sorry I was AWOL last night, decided to have an evening away from the pooter and curled up with my Kindle instead.

LMH - excellent news about your sister's win, and even better she's asked you to go - if you ask Jinty nicely she might even let Ewan and David out of the Tardis dungeon and you can drop them off on your way up there ;)

BDINI - all I can say is :grouphug:what a rubbish time you've had with the house, surely this has to be the last of it for you xxx

ab.da54 - I buy my kindle books from amazon (ok, 10 points to me for the most obvoius sentence of the night :o) but I try to earn amazon vouchers from various survey sites to in effect pay for them, I also do shop and scan which offer amazon vouchers so if you don't do that already it could be worth looking into?

Well, yesterday wasn't a NSD for me. Popped into Mr T thinking they had 1/2 price PG tips (Unilever coupon) but had zilch, did however have New York Co soup on 1/2 price at £1.05 so I bought a corn chowder, used a JTD and cost me 8p :D Then as it was boss' b'day, had to get cakes and a card, and also planned to 'treat' myself to some body polish in Sainsbobs. Suitably insulting card (good job he has a sense of humour...most of the time) set me back £3 and cake etc was £5-odd (as I used some nectar points too) Total spend under a tenner so not too bad.

Have been naughty and ordered the other coat I saw when I was shopping in Fatface, it's a down one, was reduced to £75, so ordered to try (arrived today), then down (no pun intended) to £50...so reordered and coat #2 is on it's way :rotfl: totally lost in what I will keep and return but I'm sure I'm going to end up going back to store with several of the same item :o

Speaking of which, WHSmith reduced their xmas cards to 99p today - so I bought some. Trouble is I'd already bought some others which were 1/2 price and I quite like. Is it worth the embarassment of returning them to store and asking if they will resell them to me at 99p, or shall I just reutrn them and keep the ones I bought today (which are ok, but don't like as much) ?
