Bad Delilahh!! Very bad Delilahh!!
As I'm a contractor/temp, I didn't get paid for the bank holidays, so this week I've been doing 10 hour days to try and make up the hours I'd have missed Monday so I don't lose any money.
Yesterday I got a taxi back from the railway station (I commute) as it was raining! Today, I just felt really lazy - and ended up getting a cab again! That's £10 gone already in 2 days!
So a spend day for me sadly.Sealed Pot Challenge No 3060 -
working all day today then it was far to cold to go out so
nsd 5 for me please.

I'm sure it was just before Ben had to leave too....
Fingers crossed you find your new companion when you've had your lovely hols:) - I know certainly on my local Gumtree there's an awful lot of young GSDs looking for homes:( so it may be worth a look.....
Jinty thanks for the pic hun, it did make me smile:) and :T to the weight loss ...... (sorry if I've missed anyone since my "thanks" last night - so many pages to catch up on I'd forgotten by the time I got to the end:o).
Unfortunately, a spendy day to me as had nothing left for lunch ...... popped and got a sandwich and some rolls for tomorrow ..... honestly, I rarely use cash for anything and the last 2 times, I've had to break £10 note and had all the change back in £2 coins - great for the shed fund, but I really can't afford for a coffee / rolls etc to effectively cost me a tenner:)
Yes it was just before you lost Ben that we lost Milly. Thanks for the Gumtree lead I will remember to look it up when we get back. Best not to look before in case I'm tempted to get one now.DFW Nerd 1394.

Had a phone call today re: rented house (for which incidentally the council has still not paid up any housing benefit)
Apparently the high winds have ripped off the UPVC cladding affixed to the house for insulation purposes, which has taken with it half of the outer layer of the back wall :mad::mad:
Tenant in pieces over damage to the house, me in pieces over the £150 excess on the insurance payable to get it fixed!!!
Oh & that's not to mention the fact that she's been turned down for free loft insulation, as apparently it's full of asbestos :eek: even though it wasn't mentioned in the survey, or by all the various tradesmen that have been in that loft over the years!! There's another £100 gone for a report to (hopefully) prove that's is either a) not asbestos or b) safe to not remove, in order to quell her (somewhat understandable) hysterics
I'm not even thinking about what will happen if the report says it's dangerous & needs removing..... bankruptcy anyone????
Still on the bright side, at least it is number 3 today, every cloud has a silver lining & all that!!
You rant as much as you like BDINI, we all hoped you'd have better luck with your house after what happened last year. You haven't been upsetting a witch doctor by any chance?
As for nobody mentioning the asbestos, you don't think that your last tenants ... ahem ... exotic plants have addled their brains do you?
I hope that everything turns out well for you. You've had more than your share of bad luck imho.S.P.C. 9 2016 No. 062 Banked £337.50

And hello to:
freebyfiftty - phew! Big spendy day today then but at least youy can nab some more NSD’s now it’s out of the way
jinty - great that you were out the door on timeYour work leaves a lot to be desired if this is how they treat hard working employees  Great weight loss as well, well done
Frodo - you are very welcome
chrissie57 - no it is not just you, I also avoid, avoid, avoid when it comes to online banking
leikela - bad times when little one is poorly but yay! for the possible NSD as a result, did you get it?!
shezam - hello, glad you are sounding motivated after your sw meeting, fingers crossed for Saturdays NSD
oldtractor - hope your car passed it’s MOT and you got the seeds you wanted, I share an allotment with my sister but haven’t got any seeds this year yet.
catslovelycats - fridge repair man would probably be a essential spend for me as obviously this is important.
rising - I echo everyone else’s comments, your dog and you will meet when you are both ready x
salkunh - hope you are feeling lots better, NSD’s are worth losing to make sure you get wellAfter ‘seeing’ your pose I am confident you will get your first one tomorrow
AlyBaly - hope you got something nice in your shopping, fingers crossed for tomorrow
silvasava - yay for getting your tiles reduced so much! Good luck with your mystery shop tomorrow and nice and convenient that you can do both at the same time
Nargle - agree with you there, someones head should roll :
cw18 - hope the fencing gets sorted without the getting you involved, I agree in that I don’t think you should be paying half for them, they are not your responsibility after all x
stardrops42 - that is what this challenge is about, you have hit the nail on the head with that! Even if you spend every day and manage no NSD’s at least you will know none of it has been unnecessary as you now stop and think before you buy
Spendaholic Chick - poor youThere is lots of time left so don’t let it get you down x
wanna_be_in_credit - gosh, petrol is soooo expensive now  not so long ago I filled my car up (I hardly use her) and nearly fainted on the forecourt at the cost
Delilahh - you are not badyou can’t control the weather, there is lots of time to nab those NSD’s
No NSd for me as I had to do a top up shop todayLots of whoopsies were had though, so not too bad, hardly spent anything this year food wise, I'm making everyone eat what we have in

*offers BDINI a whole chocolate bar* *hug*
Rising - *hug* Your woofer is out there, keep the faith. *breaks into a startling rendition of "Somewhere Out There", and scares the car* In the meantime, have you considered fostering to give you the company?
And Spoon *bows* you are amazing with your updates etc. thank you so much!
On to business. Spendy day for me today as had to buy unbudgeted for train ticket (not an emergency, just poor planning).
But this month my secret weapon (shhh, don't tell Freeby) is my 'pocket money' pot which is a little money I've budgeted for each week to cover sillies like coffees etc. As someone else said earlier, I've a terrible habit of thinking "well, bought that, so there goes my NSD, may as well do more...".
But with the 'pocket money' once it's gone, there's no top-up without counting it as a spendy day. Seems to be working too...came back from a day in London, having lunch with a friend and a wander round the sales, and not only was the train ticket the only unbudgeted spend, but I still have half of this week's pocket money left!
I'm turning into a complete miser - how fab is that!
